Buying a standard TV set or an iPhone requires a dedicated credit card in your world?

We are not talking about buying a Mac Pro or a car.

What kind of TV do you consider std? My Panasonic LED TV did cost 800eur years ago and it was on the expensive side... You easily get TVs for under 500eur.

why are they doing that? haven't seen this with N26, bunq etc

Probably because they want to internally test it but they’re somehow not able to enable the T&C only for certain PANs but for all, and the activation is enabled only for selected PANs.

The standard limit for ING cards is 4.000€ a week (which equals less per day, admittedly more in a day). For purchases that large a virtual MC Debit certainly isn't your main card then. A dedicated credit card (Amex, points card etc.) will be much more fitting for most out there ;)

With ING in Germany? That’s crazy.
I can put my limit until € 50.000 in just a tap, online via My ING, in the Netherlands. For store purchases or online shopping.

Your discussion about the limit for a standard TV set is not that AP related anymore ...
This is not my discussion. I just stated that the limit of 1000€/day is „a little bit“ low if you want to do more than daily groceries shopping with the virtual debit card.

As it is said for months, that Lastschrift for online shopping and GiroCard for POS suck and MC/Visa debit are that much better.... it is some kind of ridiculous that the DB MC debit now comes with a usage limit that is so low that you can not even buy an iPhone at the Apple store with it ...

And as an answer you get „buy a TV set for less“ :rolleyes:

How can I get this T&C screen?

Someone mentioned recently: screenshot tweets just in case... I forgot but thanks to the magic of caching images, here it is :D

Strange. But I don’t think it is Apple Pay related. Haven’t said snitching about it in their tweet. So maybe some other reasons.
Well the German boon. page is teasing a new card design... possibly the new update will come along with that change.

So I opened a comdirect Account besonders my Bunq Account to still have an DE IBAN. In comparisson to bunq i Miss many functions.

Comparing to Deutsche Bank i do mit have such a low Daily Limit, you can set it um in the bunq App.
The Big disadvantage with comdirect and their CC is the monthly billing in my view. With bunq you get Instant billing from your Account. As i presume nie, with Comdirect and Apple Pay you will der a monthly Bill?

Well its simply because the comdirect Visa is a real credit card so the billing occurs on a monthly basis. Get used to it

Yep, comdirect is back. N26 and Amex show nothing. But: For the first time the date has been read correctly. Is it possible that Apple pushes a silent update for new card types and layouts? I can't imagine it, but literally my Amex card always needed to have the date put in by hand!

What do you mean with the date?

Some of you criticize, that people here freak out about Apple Pay, that life won‘t change and especially the unknown launch date at all.
Well, you‘re right but for me - and I think for many others - it is something to just look forward to. We‘re adults, so things we need, we buy ourself and everything beyond that sometimes, too.
So no thrill of anticipation like we had 24h before christmas when we were children.

So: Looking forward to Apple Pay give us a little bit of christmas anticipation back. Do not take that away. ✌️

"Die Banken wissen es selber auch nicht."

I think he has completely disqualified himself through that comment. If the banks don't know, the only other side that would know is Apple directly and I highly doubt that he would have any information regarding a launch then.

He's also cleaned up his timeline and deleted a lot of his older "predictions".

Yeah. And why buying an iPhone? You easily get smartphones for under 200eur

Right, so these are the following Girocard limits of some larger banks... to name a few...
-> ING is 4.000€ a week
-> comdirect is 1.000€ a day or 2.000€ a week
-> Sparkasse (ie. Berlin) is 1.000€ in cash a day from ATMs and 2.000€ per day in payments

So 1.000€ for the virtual (!) DB MasterCard isn't that bad. No reason to get worked up about it, it's well within the usual limit for Debit cards. Credit Cards usually don't have these limitations, apart from the overall credit limit on the card itself. For insurance and safety purchases I always purchase expensive goods or flights/tickets on my credit cards. It's also saved me from some problems in the past (airlines going bust - even months after ticket purchase, having problems with returning faulty goods etc.).
