Linsenbarth actually said the same.

Yes, after the last deadline passed. I'm just wondering how anyone is supposed to have a fixed date now...

Could be tomorrow or Thursday. Fingers crossed!

No, the screens were german in november as well, the only thing that has changed is it shows € now and a card with no branding

Edit: Google cache had me confused. I think the image with the Euro and in german is new. Although not sure about the payment info screen

Just got the info that AP will be released “in a week”.
I was really expecting the release this week but after hear the information from a person inside Amex, I’m 100% sure it will be released on 11 or 12.

So we should probably expect Santander and Commerzbank joining the launch. Which is probably better in the long term - the more banks support Apple Pay from the start, the more people are able to use it and share the feature to their peers and so the pressure grows for banks that still haven’t decided.

Why? I don’t think so at all. No information about either one of them about being part of Apple Pay at the launch. If they would Apple would have put them on the landing page.

It is possible that we have a couple other banks joining the launch - this would be an explanation as to why everything has been so delayed.

I think we will find out soon enough (hopefully).

Santander themself said in the beginning that they’ll be launching at the launch, then when the Apple page launched without their logo, people asked and they answered that they’re basically still working on it and that they will be launching about two weeks after the launch.

About Commerzbank: comdirect is officially launching and since they have almost the same IT infrastructure, Commerzbank should be ready as well.

What if there is no delay and it was always meant to launch mid/end of december? Would that blow your mind?

You guys post „INSIDER SAYS APPLE PAY TOMORROW“ and a simple bait post turns into reality for you. That‘s pretty cringeworthy.

I am still camp „no delay, it‘s just set to launch really late“. Not that we‘d ever find out anyways.

I think we all here will survive the waiting period until 11th of december. It´s a tuesday, it´s enough time for apple to earn money with christmas and so on. Next stop: 11th for me. But I don´t have any insider information, too.

I really never thought it would be december, when Tim Cook talked about apple pay in summer. Never ever. Would even be better if he didn´t say a word: Look at Belgium. ;-) (Hope for Austria again)

I can‘t believe that it was meant to start in mid december right from the beginning. Banks postet their teaser over 4 weeks ago. „Startet bald“ and 4 weeks don‘t fit if you ask me.

I think 4-6 weeks with "started bald" is fine - wouldn't make sense to say coming soon, and after 10 days they would go live - Either earlier with "demnächst" or just with a live landing page when it launches (like Belgium)

Btw guys: Look at the iMac Pro - was announced in June with "later this year" - could order December 15th and I guess it was shipped right before or after Christmas when I remember correctly.

And what I wrote several times: When they announced it during the conference call (everybody was sure it will come before the next call) I said it doesn't make sense - he would have said something else like will launch soon, but he said later this year - and well, this usually means (in Apple time) one of the last possible days

I would bet on next week :)

100% it was due to launch earlier (in November). There's a problem. The only thing we don't (and even the insiders / banks don't) know is, is it due to something on Apple's part (terminals in the Apple Stores, other problems with the backend) or a problem with one of the partnered banks.

I am 100% positive that it's not because of their stores. I don't know why this was even picked up when somebody wrote that crap...

Apple, a company that can ship millions of new phones in a day, with all the logistics, they are able to send a few new terminals to 15 stores and install it in a minute after hours that it is ready...

So maybe something else, but definitely not that...
