New card design for boon. got pushed through today. Don't like it, as in the card stack all you see is just a "green card". I wonder if Apple is making it a requirement to put "virtual card" on cards that have no physical counterpart. The Deutsche Bank has the same thing on their virtual card. Odd...
Also: It seems like the way transactions are processed really differs by what type of card it is. boon. usually took for ever (even at Aldi Süd) to process. My fastest transaction yesterday was with the comdirect Visa Credit. Literally held it to the terminal and the receipt came racing out. Amex I'm not too happy with, as both times I needed to sign a receipt (I had an argument with one of the cashiers and just noted down a squiggly line). In the UK my fastest transactions are with the HSBC Credit and Amex, but even the "online only" cards like Monzo are not really slow either. Are terminals in Germany somehow different in the way they are hooked up?
I was using boon. as a stop-gap until DKB and/or ING join, but as there joining in 2019 and the newest boon. update has really ruined a lot (esp. the stupid top-up restrictions), I'll be using bunq as a temporary solution as my second Euro account.
