That‘s what I thought, hence the 1-2 days of waiting for the Virtual Card to be ready. Overwhelmed by the demand, which is a very good sign, I guess :D

My Virtual Card was ready to be added to Wallet this morning, the whole process was very smooth and Apple-like. I‘m surprised by DB‘s mobile app as well, never used it before but it‘s pretty good.
DB online banking app is really nice one, phototan is also working flawlessly

Does anyone have an idea, how you could add a text to a card? I told a friend to try Apple Pay, he loves it, but can't use it. He is involved in several companies, and has 5 Amex cards. When he adds them, the all look the same (obviously), but he can't tell which is for what company. The last 4 digits don't help, he is a little older ;)

Is there any way to add some text like Company ABC or something?

Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to do this, it's the bank that decides how the cards look and no way of changing that on iOS itself.

He can sort them and memorize the order according to priority. At least top of wallet shouldn’t be too hard. Or document and sticky the card numbers in the note app. There is not much besides the card number I‘m afraid. Apple could certainly improve that.

With VIMpay you have a spending Limit of 2500€/ year. Thats only 208€/month. If you want more you have to Pay 5€/month. And they donˋt have Auto top-up or cashback events.
I like boon was better

just an addition to why i like boon more:
no possibilty to top up by credit / debit card. (So - no Cashback / Meilen / whatever)
You can only transfer money to your VimPay Account from a reference Bankaccount manually or SOFORT. Its not possible to change the reference account later by yourself and you can't send money from a different account.

I would only use VimPay if you are under 18 or just want to play around a little bit with Apple Pay.
For me 2500€ / year wouldn't be enough, since i'm making all my daily purchases with apple Pay.

Is there a way to rename shipping addresses in Apple Pay? I set up a custom address for my DHL packstation and would like to name it packstation but cannot figure out if this is even possible...

In systemsettings ➡ Walet, there are the shipping addresses configured

could you all please stop stating for which amount you shopped and that there was no pin.

This is the only true and helpful answer:
if the terminal supports CDCVM (authentication on the user device) then you don’t need to enter a PIN or sign anything. No limit to the amount. 99% of terminals in Germany are configured correctly […]

Per default you wont need a pin — if you'll need a pin then the terminal is not correctly configured or too old.

I know because I configured the new address in settings. But it is called “Adresse von My Name” and I would like to rename it to “Packstation”

Ah, ok, maybe a workaround: create the Packstation in contacts and add the contact as address.

Breuninger (in Nürnberg) Supports contactless payments only from debit or girocards. Not from creditcards, so Apple Pay with Comdirect didn’t work. Another shop I won’t be visiting again in the near future...

Any idea, why shops do this? They support regular credit cards, just not contactless.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but Germany has now been added to the country list at https://www.applepaysupplies.com/onestepcheckout :)

Today the first time paid with Apple Pay at a self-service checkout with the iPhone (REWE). Afterwards at the hot snack bar (REWE) at a cashier. She was not surprised. Too bad - I was looking forward to discussions.

Both paid with AMEX Payback.

Same reason why some shops accept contactless Visa but not contactless GiroCard: not adjusted or exclusive contracts

Those of you using a CC from Hanseatic Bank... Pay attention and check your settings: https://www.teltarif.de/apple-pay-test/news/74982.html

Think about getting myself a Genial Card. I don´t have a Visa Card yet.

I´m waiting for the boon Plus Update. They did not accept one of my photos not all edges of the document were on the photo. I answered them via mail, yesterday after they mailed, with a new photo. I´m still waiting.

Online applications seem to be failing a lot. Went to my local branch: Got everything set up within the hour. Also very impressive how "digital" everything is: Not a single sheet of paper, got all my documents via email, the entire application, authentication and signing of documents all on an iPad. All the bankers were super friendly.

Very good first impression! Will be getting the physical DB MasterCard though, so need to wait for it once it comes through the post.

Why would she be? It’s not like google pay wasn’t a thing since the summer.

Comdirect changed their tone about the VPay Apple Pay integration - from “mittelfristig” to “demnächst” hmm If that actually means that they speeded up the process, that would be great. It would force all the other banks to support debit cards as well.

This is why I told you to write them about Girocard and Apple Pay.

I really like comdirect. Amazing support so far. I only miss realtime notifications for transactions but its coming too according to their twitter account

Also:

Danke ...
