Yeah, but I don’t want to use it this way. Last time I used boon i was like paying 96,78 (200 prepaid) for e.g. gas, so auto-top up charged my CC with 96,78. This + gas bill and my Steuerberater was perfectly fine. With the new system there is always a (big) difference, that would require me to hand out the boon credit card billing. Definitely more complicated.

So. Someone here had problems with Amex payment yesterday? Paid at Kaufland with Amex via Apple Pay. No problem. Everything smooth as expected.
[doublepost=1544719704][/doublepost]

Also:

Danke ...
Read that the first time. And don’t think that this is the case.
I really doubt that you can pay with Amex at Backwerk for example. Or Norma. Not even the online shop accepts Amex.

Thanks again for the tip for Pass2U.
Added a lot of cards and funny stuff added locations, like the IKEA store we usually go to.
So today we went to Ikea and right in the area the right card is on the lock screen. Perfect.

May I ask which cards you've added? Can you add more locations like three IKEA stores or just one (favourite)?

I have added a couple of locations that I go to. With payback I have already 4 in there.
Ikea i have 3 Ikea i regularly use, so I would never put a full list in.
But a very neat feature! I used the IKEA Card today 3 times in the store, so handy it is on the lock-screen.
Liked it already before with Lufthansa tickets.

I hate the new „auto top-up“ on boon. I wanted to use it with my business CC and now it is impossible. Sht
Yep. Cancelled my account because of this and complained. Reply was, that they changed it due to "customer feedback". That's bs. It's because lots of people set it to top-up with ie. <50€ -> 60€ and this was causing a top-up after nearly every transaction. It was the best way to use boon, but like this it's rubbish.

Then again there aren't really THAT many banks and cards missing. I think next year most people will have at least a card or account that will be covered somehow.

Boon. Migration to Germany status:
My card was locked, and I had to manually remove them from all wallets (iPhone, Watch, iPad) and re-add.
On iPad I got an error, that I have to contact boon for acknowledgement. Did that and they told me they cannot enable on the phone, I have to write an email with a screenshot to enable it on the iPad.
This is not real SMOOTH.
I hate to say it, I did want to keep Boon, but at the moment I am really pissed about them:
- changed the Topup behavior and claim it was User wish
- iPad App does not work in Landscape, the claim nobody is using it.
- Migration without a notice by just disabling the card.
They really know how to make users angry at the moment.

Cool. Any other cards besides Payback and IKEA?

When canceling / deleting boon account; will there be a money transfer of my outstanding balance to a given SEPA ID? ATM my auto top up didn't change - less than 90 it'll be topped up to 100.

Yes and lucky you. I would recommend not to touch the top up:)

Comdirect Visa is a normal credit card, meaning it sums up all your payments in a month and at the end it debits it from your Giro account.

It’s not a debit card like at ING.

And there’s also the option where you don’t get a monthly limit for your Visa but they set it to 0€ so you would have to first transfer money to the visa account in order to use it.

Again please, Comdirect gives you two accounts, one under the regular EC/VisaPay card and one under the Visa Credit Card. The Visa withdraws from the visa account and the EC withdraws from the main account. I believe DKB functions the exact same way. Where is this option to directly debit from the giro account?

I didn’t mean that every single payment is debited directly from your giro account, but that the monthly Visa bill is debited from the giro account. This is the standard with comdirect if you don’t have the Prepaid Visa card.

Can someone please tell me if with Pass2u the Payback Card is automatically used when paying with Apple Pay?

Nah Buddy, automatic loyalty card usage is only possible with NFC loyalty cards. Even if payback added official support for Wallet, they would still have to implement NFC for the card to work automatically.

No, you have to order the new one.
Makes sense anyhow as the most Packstation have no Pinpads anymore and rely on QR?

Thanks for the info. Is there a special form where you can order a new one? I only find the tab „what if I lost my card?“ in the faqs. But no informations about how to get new one in case your old one does work anymore. I have mine for over ten years now guess it’s time to get a new one anyway.

huh? is mTan not standard auth-method anymore? didn't even know, that there's another way

have my PackStation Card since... 2006? My city was one of the pilot areas. with a standard pin for your card back then, no mTan. put the magnetic card into the read, enter the PIN and hope for an open door :D

The newer cards use QR + Tan. And for sending you can use the card by itself.
BTW. I used the first Packstation ever built in Darmstadt as I was working for Deutsche Post in a Project at that Time.
