Must be difficult to understand German in a board that’s clearly focusing on matter that’s only relevant to the German market.
Mimimi… He is right.

Could not pay with Amex via Apple Pay at lKEA today. Seems like Amex contactless is not accepted. Had to pay with MC.
Had problems at Aral with Amex over 50€. Odd... You'd of thought they would have sorted this out before.

Kaufland also wanted me to sign a receipt (was about 20€).

Intresting ... Ikea ist no Official Apple Pay Partner.
Seems that it ist as I heard before, all Official Apple Pay Partner has to accept ALL Apple Pay Cards.

<< On Saturday it was possible and it worked (ApplePay Amex)....compared to Saturn...

<<< Saturn is an offical AP Partner but Amex didn't work via AP only MC or Visa

- Aral ~5€, no issues, no need to sign
- Nanu Nana ~5€, no issues, no need to sign

Had no issues with Amex contactless at Kaufland. Neither with the card nor with Apple Pay. Way above 50€ bill.

No, that is not correct. Repeating does not help ;) not every partner accepts Amex. Norma for example. Or Backwerk (often does not take cards at all)

Fun Fact: That list is ordered alphabetically. With one exception: Apple should be placed after "Allianz Arena" instead of between Adidas and Aldi. Apple is weird sometimes. Someone must have thought "Hey, we should be on top of that list, but let's not take the first spot, but the second."

EDIT: Or it is because the spot directly after Adidas is the correct one in the second list and someone told the web-devs "Hey, put apple after adidas". -> There is adidas in both lists, so they put them behind adidas in both of them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My dad can use my card on his phone, correct, but I´m the only one who is able to load it and to top-up, correct? So it is not a good idea to activate automatic top-up on his iPhone, am I right?

If I pay stuff, for example in Italy there are no fees, right? What about toping-up and loading my account manually, in a foreign country within Europe?

Thank you guys!

As said before, there have been plenty international users in this thread since this thread was still in double digits. This is an international board after all and it‘s more about common decency and respect. Sadly not everyone appears to have this awareness. The German hubris

No offense, but why don't you just read the T&Cs?
Instead of apparently solely relying on internet boards you'd be better of asking to clarify your research. There has always been (non-malicious) superficial knowledge floating around here as well and you might be ill-informed because of that sometime.

As a non boon user, I was able to easily look up the original source stating 1,25% turnover fees except for the EUR area. Currently (until 31.03.2019) all fees are voided in a promotion. So yes, no fees in Italy paying in €.

I´m really sorry for this question, it was stupid. I recall that I´ve read it before. Thank you anyway.

I think we haven't covered that yet: What happened to Santander? First, they announced that they would offer Apple Pay right from the beginning and now there is no mention of that any more. Not even in the 2019 coming soon section. Does anyone have more information about that? Thanks.

News from curve:
Last but not least - Integration with Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay

We know how much you want to connect your Curve card to the X-Pay bunch. We’ve started our integration work with them and are now waiting in the queue to connect Curve to each one of these platforms. We still don’t have a definite timeline for this, as it is not completely in our control, but we will launch as soon as we can. And the beautiful thing about it is soon all of your cards from all of your banks will work with Samsung, Apple and Google Pay.

Reads like they are waiting for a timeslot at apple.
