Reads like they are waiting for a timeslot at apple.
If it does come (which I'm not sure if this is true - Monese has been saying for months that it's coming soon; the same as Revolut only there we have an official confirmation), then it will be with a new subscription model only. They announced subscriptions in their forum.

Curve are burning through cash faster than anyone else, so it'll be interesting to see what the business model will be.

Also: For many reasons I'd rather use my separate cards directly - especially if my banks offer Apple Pay. The only interesting thing would be using Amex with MasterCard coverage, but their solution is half baked and a sort of boon. clone for Amex only. Not going down that route, no way.

Is there any "fintech" which doesn't burn money? ;)

Sure curve as a proxy card is only useful if the own bank does not support AP yet. For physical cards it is always a cool story, with Apple Pay it is useless. Unless you use the possibility to change the charged card after the payment on a regular basis.

It will be interesting to see if this petition from payment&banking will end up reaching the 10.000 people they are aiming for.
https://wirmachendasmitdenfaehnchen.com

I think most here have taken note that red/(blue) will likely join 2019/2020 anyway, but I still signed since a round table discussion would be interesting nonetheless.

Also the slogan is a nice jab towards their old PR campaign :D

This petition is just PR for their blog. Adressfishing for their newsletter. And a little but cheap and fishy if you ask me. Bad style. They could have done better.

Do you think it will come for the black only? Could be.
Or do you think it will be a brand new service?
The Curve CEO actually answered our question about 6mins ago... he usually never tweets but here you go:
https://twitter.com/ShacharBialick/status/1074778920443150336

"All Curve cards will be supporting the X-Pay bunch."

But still: I don't see the benefit in using Curve if I can just use my banks card. I get why others use it, but it just doesn't make sense to me. Admittedly I have the card and have only used it a few times... meh.

You explicitly don't have to sign up for their newsletter though (opt-in!). Yes it's not 100% neutral but is pretty straightforward and transparent to me. And for those in desperation, it is likely to garner more traction/attention than the other petitions I've seen so far.

For me it would make sense to be able to use my ING Visa with Apple Pay until the Day it would be supported directly. The question is: will curve be  Pay Partner before or after the Launch of DKB, ING and the others?

Intresting ... Ikea ist no Official Apple Pay Partner.
Seems that it ist as I heard before, all Official Apple Pay Partner has to accept ALL Apple Pay Cards.

No they don't have to accept all Cards. You can see many examples of listed Official  Pay Partners who won't accept American Express.

Referring to IKEA Page they Accept AMEX. May the Terminal was not enabled. I know that IKEA is developing own Software for their Terminals (together with Ingenico) and deploy it to some Stores for testing purposes.

Pay in Non-Euro Currency without paying a fee? Haven't done that yet, but that was the reason I ordered curve

Rather idiotic way. They put the named banks in a worse position for fee negotiations, if the petition gains publicity.

Useless as we all know, at least the biggest name on the list will launch next year anyway.

As said before, there have been plenty international users in this thread since this thread was still in double digits. This is an international board after all and it‘s more about common decency and respect. Sadly not everyone appears to have this awareness. The German hubris

No offense, but why don't you just read the T&Cs?
Instead of apparently solely relying on internet boards you'd be better of asking to clarify your research. There has always been (non-malicious) superficial knowledge floating around here as well and you might be ill-informed because of that sometime.

As a non boon user, I was able to easily look up the original source stating 1,25% turnover fees except for the EUR area. Currently (until 31.03.2019) all fees are voided in a promotion. So yes, no fees in Italy paying in €.

Blah blah blah… I was not the first one writing in German in this thread, but once I did, it was suddenly bad? Idiotic.
And omg, I possibly offended everyone in this thread by writing a few lines in German. We‘re clearly all going to die now.
You‘re not really open for diversity, are you?

Really interesting decision. I'm eager to see how it will be built by Apple and how it will work. Maybe like Google Pay where you can set certain apps to appear when you activate the Pay function?

It’s ok dude, we all knew which party you vote for with the first comment you made, turn it down a notch.

I think IKEA has to update their terminals, you still need to use a signature, even for sums *under* 25€.

Ah really? My first comment was political nature? Interesting.
Anyways, can we stick to the topic instead?
It was Apple Pay in Germany if I‘m not mistaken.

Anyone seeing this in the Amex app? It's from this mydealz thread. I personally do not see the offer in the app.

Yep ;-) You need to check the offers tab (which I assume you have). When I activated it yesterday straight after it was available, the terms stated a limit of 13,600 and something available offers/activations. So I'm assuming all the spots have already all been taken.

Do you also shove this in people's faces when they ask you a question about Germany? (We have to speak German because we are talking about a German topic!!1!11.) Or don't you get non-Germans in your small town(-thinking)? Come on, how can someone be this bone-headed  Owning up to an own fault is a virtue nowadays it seems. You were not the first but the most unapologetically ignorant.

Don't you see the astounding irony and hubris here in your last sentence? (Let me spell it out: it's like going to Great Britain and being mad at people for not speaking German.)

It's there for me somewhere in the offers tab. And was still available just now.

Lol, how stubborn can one be?
I have no problems writing in English here, but I feel like someone‘s really got issues if he thinks he has to blame me for writing a little sentence in German, particularly because I was not the first one doing so. See the absurdity? No? OK, never mind…
