There is not such a thing as a Debit Creditcard - a card is Debit OR Credit
Boon offers a DEBIT Mastercard.... thats NOT a creditcard.

Looks like everywhere I go I see only signs for Master and Visa...
Couldn’t try since the packback card hasn’t arrived yet, but the shoe store wasn’t even offering contactless... well... I saw the Symbole but the guy said it never worked... was too shy to insist on trying... will

Go to Roland in Bertoldstr. I paid there with my watch (Visa)
Did anyone else notice that Apple Pay Cash icon is back on the apple watch? And the apple pay cash card appears in my apple watch wallet. Setting up doesnt work of course. But with the previous update the cash button was gone now its back. And no, I did never change my region on my watch or phone. I got the XR and Apple Watch 4.
I am not sure it was ever gone... I am on the Public Beta Program on the iPhone (just updating to 12.1.2) but the watch (since there is no public beta for watchOS) is just "up to date" 5.1.2 with the normal releases.
I have played with different countries in the past but right now I am all set to Germany

As you say, you played that´s sufficient for APC to show up if you played with those countries where it is available.I am not sure it was ever gone... Jupp. Most recent releases of iOS and watchOS, no AP button in messages on the watch.
So finally got the AMEX card and used it at the Gravis store, did not work first try... no "ba bing" but "de dum"... but we gave it a second try, again with the iPhone, and it worked Really didn't rush it the first time or did something else different... maybe we just need to be more patient in general
super nice thing that I did not know existed... you can swipe between cards once apple pay is active on the watch, way easier then the tapping on the iPhone
EDwherewere can I see which account I connected to my AMEX... I am no longer sure and I can't find which account the money will be withdrawn from at the end of the month -__-

BurgerKing is an official partner. I wouldn’t accept that and pretend to talk with the manager
The local franchises are often mostly independent in pricing, promotion, taking part in special offers or accepting payment options.
There is no need for the independent owners who are paying a fee for the right to use the name „Burger King“ and the BK supply chain to do everything like the company stores.
Ask the German central if the local franchises have to accept MC/Visa/Amex and Burger King Deutschland will answer „Nope.“
BTW: you can search within the BK app, if your local restaurant accepts card payments in general, there are several franchises that don’t accept card at all. So not even GC is mandatory and a talk to the „manager“ mind end in some laughs if you argument with Apple Pay and „official partner“.

In fact every of my used stores (even BK) accept ApplePay. But it would make me sad if I'm in a foreign city, order something and could be unable to pay. Even for food that is made for me and couldn't be retuned again. So what to do... I'd be left in the knowledge that _this_ store is official partner of ApplePay and _should_ have to accept this payment method. If this store is independent isn't easy to know...
Had the same problem today in a "Galeria Kaufhof" that is a official partner of ApplePay. Had to left my shoppings for over 500€ at the cashier; as already told I only pay with ApplePay for several years and have no additional wallet. I insteadly bought these things via Amazon with "express delivery" for Monday.

It’s a general MasterCard issue. It’ll stay that way forever, while Visa correctly says approved.
Thats a good point in my eyes too. You surely can use AP at those shops you go to regulary and where you therefore know it works. But it is not reliable enough in case you want to leave your wallet at home and do a shopping trip in the city or farer away. So it is sadly only a nice tool but nothing more.
