No, really. Now I read something about them. Seems to be just one of the many "fintech"-Startups that pop up like mushrooms but without any USP. Where's the interesting feature set?

these crypto currencies options for example is really just a small niche and you even can not transer the coins to another wallet...

funny what companies are playing around on the market. all these small fintech startups with their "me too"-portfolios without any USP remind me of the gold digger vibes in the IT/Internet business around the 2000s just before all collapsed.

I agree, some fintech startups reminds of the IT Bubble in 2000, on the other hand there are some banks / sparkassen that reminds me at the dinosaurs saga. As always the golden middelway ( funny translation) would be the best...

If this is really true and you are not just trolling around...I can’t even. I just don’t know. Sorry! OMG!

Just dig a little deeper. Ask Google, visit Revolut website. Get educated about it.
Revolut is one of the fintechs one should at least have heard about.

Honestly, Revolut ist one of the biggies. They're great for cross currency exchange and support multiple accounts. They also do crypto as well, but very sceptical of that. For the rest, it's great. Use them all the time on my travels.

Still, it will probably not be Apple Pay, but either Google Pay or "tap to pay" built into the Android app.

you have to decide on your use case and the situation in your town. I chose the bank that suits me most and offers the best of both worlds :)

For example, some one mentioned a few days ago the opening hours of the banks as an issue.... my local Sparkasse offers appointments between 08:00 and 20:00. either at my home or in the local agency just a few hundred meters away. with my personally known advisor, that knows me and my needs. no anonym call center agent or automized webform.
if you want to.

calm down and don't hyperventilate again

so just tell me, why I should know them. what do they offer, that someone has to know. what product that nobody else offers. where is there USP, that makes them so special.

i browsed around their website and their portfolio and found nothing special. except a shiny smartphone app.

First of Revolute is one Unicorn Fintech.
And of USP...that’s is for everyone to decide by himself.
But REVOLUT is so reach of features, just check for yourself https://www.revolut.com/de/?lang=en.
EG you can have as many IBAN accounts as you want. You can hold and exchange a whole lot of currency within the app for free. You can use your Visa/Mastercard without exchange fees worldwide.
And so on and so forth.
But you have said it often enough you love your Sparkasse and it’s feature set is what you need. So Revolut is clearly not for you.

So you don't have an answer for my question, what is so "special" about Revolut against other fintechs and banks, that the average consumer should open an account there, if he is not travelling the world each month? ok, then I was right.
[doublepost=1529323817][/doublepost]PS: One thing I noticed, that makes Revolut really special, seem the special high rates for personal loans. An offered ARP of 9.9% is really special today ;)

I don’t want to argue about Revolut with you. You are clearly biased here.
Minutes ago you did state that you never heard about them. Some minutes later you have decided that there is nothing special about it. There is. At least big VC and millions of customers think so. You surly did learn all about it at least what you want to know. So be at as it be.

I just can stand your attitude anymore.
I do check this thread here for fun and some insight I might have missed from other sources.
I’m not here for bigotry and partiality.

Look, you are getting personal again about no issue.

I just stated, that I did not know them and you are going omgwtfcantbeserious. So I just wanted to know why I should „have to know“ them (beside all the other fintechs). That was the origin.

So reread the last few messages and question yourself, if you want to complain about someone‘s „attitude“...

You are bigot. You are heavily biased against nearly every opinion that is not yours. You do fact picking to prove your position.
Some days ago I thought you could have changed to a more open mindset but you obviously did not.
That's my assessment of your person. And yes this is personal. Deal with it.

Not so uncommon, that people without arguments get personal on the internet.

As I said, just did not know the company at the start. If this is something that gets you angry, offensive and a high blood pressure, question yourself.

So when Poland starts tomorrow and the polish Apple Pay website is not online yet, this is no longer a hint to a nearby start...

Only adding cards early is...

Where there some rumours bout a start tomorrow before the leak today? Ok, they where announced to get AP earlier, but no more hints, eh?

Is it possible to open a bank account in Poland from Germany?

Why would you want a full account in Poland?
I mean if you want to use ApplePay just use Boon.
With AutoTopUp it works really great.
I would never try to get my full account in a foreign country for just Apple Pay. A credit card is in my eyes ok to have it somewhere else.

I would hit the limits of boon and using Apple Pay for the half of a month is no option...

Boon basic is just 3.000€ each year and 250€ a week. Going shopping, having dinner/lunch and fueling my cars... 250€ is nothing for a week when have to pay stuff for 4 ppl family

boon plus is just 10.000€ per Credit Card and 24.000€. Tbh don’t want to change top up stuff after a few months...

Nothing practical with boon for me
[doublepost=1529349724][/doublepost]When going a way I want to go it completely and not a small bit...

Ok. If that's not enough. For me it is enough for paying some stuff, the big stuff I usually use a physical card.
But for no way I would move my main account to another country, except if I would live there.

Oh, it is just 250€ top up for a month in the basic package. Well that’s really not enough to go buy food for whole family and fueling the cars...

Best way is that Apple starts Apple Pay

Yes, that would be the best to start Apple Pay native.
But for the Topup. I would anyhow recommend using the Boon plus.
Although it was very nice to do so before 30. May as it is free for one year. I hope when my account will be charged, we will have Apple Pay somehow. If not I am glad to pay the 1,50€ per month ;-)

For Germany / € countries I use bunq, but it's a bit too late to recommend that now ;)
