Ahhhh gotcha. I had every iPhone from the 4 to the 12PM, and I prefer Android over iOS anymore. But, to each their own.
I used android since 2009 with the Motorola droid (and later the nexus line aka the birth of what y’all know as pixels).

My first sign that the operating system was terrible was when webos came out. But they suffered from lack of apps so I went back to android(this was my Sony and htc era) and then later Samsung (back when galaxies were literally plastic iPhone knockoffs).

Then I started seeing how terrible android was again and became a windows phone fan girl and went in on Lumia but once again lack of apps and Microsoft incompetence.

I think this would have been around 2018 I once again tried android again and then i finally (85 plus android phones and 10-12 years later since my first), finally went in iOS and I was like “wow where the heck have I been?”

I do own a z flip and up until a few days ago a s22 alongside my iPhone but I can never imagine going back to such an inferior ecosystem like android and I’m glad I got out of what seems like a hive mind fan base.

Glad you like it though. 😌

It's funny cause this topic has nothing to do with Android. It's Apple making an Apple foldable.
your entire original post was being against new form factors to which I said we aren’t against new form factors simply nobody but the minority of android fans trying to make iOS behave like android are asking for this.

Is folding suddenly an Android feature? I fail to see how the two are connected in any way.

I find it hilarious there are people complaining about a creaae but are fine with a notch.
Because the notch with time is unnoticeable. I barely notice it on my 11 and with Dynamic Island on the 15 it’s non existent to me.

The crease is tacky in all forms on all foldables. Never mind the fragility. Points to pixel fold owners.

Bought a Fold 6 last week after owning every second iPhone since the iPhone 3G days.

Best decision EVER and I also love their Watch 7 much more than my Apple Watch 6. It's like they took a lot of things from iOS and actually made them better and more reliable. I am actually shocked myself.

And yes, this is just my personal experience

I spy a crease!

There is no crease on the OPO like you see on the Z Fold 6 or the Pixel Fold (those are creases). What you are seeing is the middle of the inner display where there can be no hardware underneath it to support the ultra thin glass and its ability to fold, like there is on either side of the display.

I would prefer a Fold style for a bigger screen that opens up. I don't really get the point of the Z Flip style.

I'm sorry but..

as foldables will never be for everyone.

And that's the real problem. Apple can complicate the iPhone lineup to satisfy the minimal % of people who want a foldable, or they can stick to the 80/20 rule.

Apple isn't releasing a foldable phone anytime soon.

So a crease by another name. No thanks.

I'd take one today that had essentially "WatchOS" running on it

Man I loved that phone

Such a satisfying feel/sound when flipping it open and closing it
What I'd love is a phone about the size of the iPhone 4 (or even the original iPhone) with an all-screen design running the latest version of iOS.

Tim in his neverending greed won't allow for that to happen however....

I hope my iPhone 13 mini lasts until this is released. There is a snowball’s chance in hell that I will purchase any of the current iPhone sizes.

I just wanna see the iPhone Pro Max support the Apple Pencil.

Considering the only foldables on the market are literally android phones….

Because Apple hasn't made one. Is Apple not supposed to because Android vendors already have? If so, someone should tell Tim that they have him beat on smart watches, phablets, integrating OLED displays, LTE...

Apple shouldn't innovate because someone else already tried? Truly bizarre take.
