My laptop made it from Shanghai to Denver in less than 60 hours, including clearing customs. Cautiously optimistic the laptop will arrive before Thursday, the expected delivery date on FedEx's site.
Closing the loop on my timeline for my MBP 16GB/1TB:
  • Purchased on January 8, expected delivery date February 2-9
  • Moved to Preparing for Shipment January 21, expected delivery date February 1st
  • Shipped January 22, revised expected delivery date January 28 after it cleared customs
  • Delivered to me in Denver, CO January 25
Hope this helps anyone who is purchasing and is antsy. I imagine the wait times will get shorter and shorter as the supply chain catches up.

Not yet for me. Not travel buddies then. Unless they just haven't updated mine yet :)
It's always worth a look on UPS and track by reference using your order number... I discovered mine had shipped that way a few hours before Apple told me!

In the ongoing story of my MBA and it's trip across the world... after 3 days enjoying the sights of Shanghai, 16 hours to see the bright lights of Seoul, Korea, it has just finished enjoying 24 hours in Cologne and is now (hopefully) on the way to the UK and scheduled for delivery tomorrow - everything crossed. If it arrives tomorrow it will be one day later than UPS initially stated, and one day earlier than the best original delivery timescale given by Apple of the 28/1-4/2.

Thanks, I just tried that and it says Clearance in progress (with a green tick) - Scheduled delivery 1/2 but it only gives the last 4 digits of the tracking number (if that's what it is). The rest of it is xxxx's
Still, I know more than I did :)

Yeah, sadly the track by reference doesn't show all the information anymore like it used to, so you can't get the full tracking number from it, but at least you can keep an eye on it until Apple tell you more!

Same here but if I track by order no on UPS it now shows that the package has cleared customs (presumably in China).
No update from Apple yet but it must be at the airport, at least :)
Mines showing clears customs. (China) so there’s a good chance yours has been shipped.

Well, since it is preparing to ship there is no tracking code or anything yet. But that's all good, expecting it sometime next week now.

I just got my track number notice from FedEx. No estimated delivery date yet from them.
I've now got a delivery date for my MBA 7/16/256 Space Grey. The original delivery window was Feb 2 to 9, but FedEx is currently giving me a delivery date of next Monday, Feb 1. It looks like it's already been released for international shipment in Shanghai and it's at a FedEx facility there now.
