How many of you are wearing out your mouse pressing the REFRESH button on the store every 3 seconds? ROFLMAO

There won't be one. The 3.4 GHz i7 is the best 95W desktop CPU Intel has to offer.

Nice, i saw that one too. There were a few options for Sandy Bridge Intel Core-i for Desktop. The only i7 for iMac would be i7-2600 .. so there won´t be any people out there bragging about processing power of their BTO iMac

The BTO options should be reduced to HDD capacity, SSD, and RAM .. that´s it

Still down here, and those are the old ones yes.

Phew, thanks god for that !!!

I don't understand as the site is up for me in the UK and I can even refresh the browser and the iMac page comes up.

this page here: http://www.apple.com/uk/imac/

The Ultimate All-In-One Turbocharged - Introducing the new iMac. Now with a new processor architecture and faster graphics.

A slight distraction for everyone ... With all the page updates i'm doing i noticed the white iPhone pictures on www.apple.com and www.apple.com/uk are different !! (Check the clocks ... before the front pages get updated).

Anyone know why ??

The time on the UK one is in 24hr (military) time. 9am= 09:00 / 1pm=13:00

and as the great movie line goes.... "Goooooood Morning Vietnam. Its O-600... what does the O stand for? OH MY GOD ITS EARLY!" :)

Because Apple uses a 24 hour clock in the UK.

Noone uses the US-military pronounciation in Europe.

Yes, but try to buy one and you'll get the "we'll be back soon".

The UK iPhone is set up with 24 Hour Time and the US one is using 12 Hour Time so gets the AM or PM symbol at the side of the time.

I'm confused.

The UK and US Apple stores seem to be up for me, with the "Turbocharged" iMac advert yet the specs say:

Step up to even faster graphics.
When you step up to the 27-inch iMac, you can choose the ATI Radeon HD 5670 with 512MB of memory. Or enjoy amazing performance with the ATI Radeon HD 5750 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. You’ll notice the speed boost every time you run your favourite 3D applications and games.

Is this from the old page?
I don't look often enough to remember.

This can't be right for the new 27" models:

5670 with 512K or a 5750 with 1GB

Am I seeing last years spec still?

anyone else?

These are the old specs. Patience...

You're looking at the specs page, which happens to be old, and not at the store page, which is down. This isn't rocket science.

Try clicking "Buy Now" and see what happens. The store is what's done, not the Mac page.

Here is my dream iMac for today:

- i7 quad-core processor
- 16GB RAM
- option for a second drive
- high end video card
- touch screen with high resolution ( I want Apple to build only touch screens from now on if possible)
- new design that makes it possible to flip the iMac almost horizontal
- onboard audio by Apogee

Thats all :D

No it's not.

I'm in the UK too and mine says it's down. Did you go as far as clicking the Buy button? Because the site is only down on the Buy pages..

Go to this page http://www.apple.com/uk/mac/ >>> Then click the iMac Store http://www.apple.com/uk/imac/ >>> Click the 'Buy' button http://store.apple.com/uk/go/imac = SITE DOWN! :)

If not, clear your browser cache?

It does, but that's not the Apple Store site.
They first update the store, then they update the product pages.

The text you're quoting has been there since last summer.

Ok, understood.

when people were all SHOUTING the place was down, I thought they were saying the whole iMac area was down, including the specs pages, as I naturally assume the specs pages would be being changed at the same time.

I did not realise everyone was only talking about the "Buy Now" area.

I thought they took the whole iMac area away for the update.

So, much better graphics cards then........... Great :)

LoL, my parents were going to buy an iMac last Sunday. I saved the day and told them to wait 3 days.
