My hopes of getting a free "upgrade" from 2.3 i7 to 2.6 i7 are dashed. My invoice shows 2.3. I assume those lucky to get the 2.6 i7, that is reflected in the invoice.

I was lucky enough to grab a 2.3 i7 model last night. I wish everybody else good luck in trying to snatch one up from the Apple Refurb Store.

I ordered 2 of the 2.3GHz i7's on Sun / Mon. They are finally showing as "Preparing for Shipment."

I ordered 2 i5's earlier this morning. I'm also surprised at how long the i5's were still in stock. 4 hours after placing my orders for the i5's, I just received emails that those are Shipped! Guess there must be a huge stock of them.

No wonder refurbs are getting sold out so quickly!

Sorry to hear that, but I think it's somewhat rare for that to happen. They made fewer 2.6's, and most are probably sent to those who specifically ordered that model refurb.

Am I the only one who notices that Apple isn't mentioning a discount on the mini like it does on the other refurbs?

Think Apple knows that the old mini is their highest demand item.

See picture.

The ones without a discount listed are BTO configs. None of Apple's refurbs have a discount listed if it is a BTO config (same applies to all desktop and laptop models).

Darn, this work thing is cutting into my Mini Buying, did I miss a 2.6?

Just Curious.

I was tempted to get another 2.3, that was a good price, but I'm holding out for a 2.6.

2.6 should show up again eventually, though a lot less frequently. So hang in there and keep checking. Many of us will try to notify this board if we catch a glimpse before refurb.me.

You guys beat refurb.me this time.

The silly thing is I could've easily ordered one a few weeks ago, but I trusted Apple to improve the breed, at least for my needs.

snagged a 2.3 quad as a spare backup. I had a scare last night when I updated to 10.10.1. My trusted mini stopped working and would boot halfway and shutdown. I recently moved and could not find my box with original 4 gigs memory. Long story short it was the memory (an extreme coincidence) and after finding and putting the original memory in it now boots.

A spare will be good....

I did not need one as I just bought the exact same one I already have. I bought my old one used and the warranty is almost over. I should be able to sell my old one on craigslist for more than the refurb I just bought so I will either break even or make a few bucks and have 2 years of warranty (1 from Apple +1 from CC)

Have to admit I did similar. But that's a nice chunk of change for a spare. My head keeps saying, you did what?
