A few more just hit the site.

If the 2014 didn't suck so bad, the refurbs would last more than two minutes on the site.

I don't think there were very many stocked this time, as even the base models and the high end ones were quickly gone.

I think I may have finally scored a quad by changing my buying strategy. :)

How much longer do you guys think they'll continue to list 2012 i7 refurbs? Will they be around for a couple weeks…, months?

I crucially need to buy one but dont have the money to drop on it quite yet.

When they discontinued the classic Mac Pro there were refurbs around for a few months. But if you really want a 2012 Mini I wouldn't wait because it is a much hotter item than the classic Mac Pro. Almost like a frenzy for it.

Thats true but it cuts both ways. The Mac Pro probably had a smaller volume of units available to be refurbed as well. At least based on sales, the Mini volume is much higher correct?

I would assume so, although this wil be my first Mac so idk. The Mini has a cheaper price point and more uses than the Pro so i would assume they sold more. Its only been a month since they were discontinued.

I cant buy until the end of December or in January. Hopefully they'll still be around! Id rather not buy a used on eBay. And new ones are ridiculously priced. *fingers crossed!*

I ordered a refurb mini with i7 few days ago for my girlfriend. I haven't opened it yet.
Do I need to do anything in order to transfer the warranty to her? Or does she just need to turn it on and register it?

I don't think you need to do anything. Warranty is tied to the serial number of the machine.

You don't need to do anything. The warranty goes with the machine.

Boy do I feel lucky. I haven't seen one 2012 mac mini in the refurb store since I got a 2.3 i7 quad.

If I missed one I'd know as I'd see the alert in my inbox.

OK I haven't seen any quad reforms now in a week. Do you think they are all done? I'm hoping I didn't debate too long and miss my chance to get the fusion drive model.

They're all gone. They are sold out, so eBay is your best bet.

No one knows for sure... if dvdchance absolutely needs one right now then get one from eBay at an inflated price. If not, just subscribe to refurb.me or refurb tracker and wait a bit more. It will come back. He just needs to be quick when it does.

Took me about 4 weeks to snag one from the Refurb store...its all about timing!

Good luck!

My problem was I was taking too long to finally decide to pull the trigger and get 1. Hopefully I will be able to score 1 now that I've decided to.

AFAIK the last Mini retail sales at Apple were in October. Apple pulled unsold Minis from the shelves. There's a 14 day return policy. There's likely a 15-30 day turn around to refurbish Minis for sale. That's about 4-6 weeks from last October sales. The only refurbs that will appear now will be prior refurbs that people returned. Supply is dwindling.

If you purchased between Nov 1 & Dec 25, you have until Jan 8, 2015 to return (Apples Holiday Return Policy).

Apple Canada said:
Holiday Return Policy

Items purchased at the Apple Online Store that are received between November 1, 2014 and December 25, 2014, may be returned through January 8, 2015. Please note that all other terms and conditions provided in the Apple Online Store Sales and Refunds Policy are still applicable with respect to such items purchased. All purchases made after December 25, 2014 are subject to the Standard Return Policy.

I called and they told me it is valid on ALL online purchases...including REFURBS.

Could be why we are not seeing many as of yet!
