Ok I won't be getting the Starlight if it is champagne. The Starlight colour on the new iPhone 13 looks white to me... strange ?

Yes, but you know, there's always hope!:)

As someone who was recently diagnosed with Type 2, non-invasive glucose monitoring would certainly be great to avoid frequent finger sticks. I'd buy a whole bunch of Apple Watches (sadly, diabetes runs in the family).

My Kaiser plan has $0 copay for CGM but they have very strict limitations on prescription and I don't qualify. Kinda wish they'd view CGMs as a tool to help with delaying/stopping progression of diabetes rather than something that's limited to those who already have uncontrolled diabetes or suffering from frequent severe hypoglycemia.

I kinda like the redesign (larger display size) but it's a pass for me.

Enhanced battery life might have done it.
New health sensors might have done it.

It's easy to be disappointed with the S7. I'm not, it's obviously still a great watch, they didn't make it worse. It's just not something I'd get to replace my SE right now. That's cool, S8 perhaps. My SE still works perfectly.

"Starlight" seems to be the same as the iPhone 12 white which is a little champagney in certain lights. Most of the time it looks white and silver but when you put it against say an AirPods case or a silver MacBook it's noticeably warmer in tone. I've grown to like it.

I do like the new bigger screen. But there isn't anything else getting me to upgrade from my Series 6. I'll wait until the next sensor upgrades

Starting to get the itch to replace my Series 3. Though while it’s a big upgrade, my watch still works fine right now. Battery life however only lasts part of a day.

9to5mac just posted a good article about AW Series 7. Check it out!!!

It does seem suspicious and made me scratch my head why they didn't show off the S7 in the Apple Store app or tell us the specs or attach the new watch bands to the S7 watch.

As far as we know, the S7 might not even ship until December!

Yeah it seems really odd that all they are saying is "this Fall." For all we know this could be October, or it could be November - just in time for Black Friday, or it could even be later. I wonder if the rumored production issues really threw things off.

At first after the key note I was not really sure if I even wanted to get the 7 or if I should just get the 6. After seeing more side-by-side comparisons, I've decided to get the 7. Now I just need to know when to get up early to smash the pre-order button.

I’m hoping we don’t have to wait too long and it gets launched before the October’s event. Maybe Apple will catch up with production in upcoming weeks.

Not a super great photo to go by but it’s the best I found. Roughly marked over the watchface to bring focus to the shade differences between Midnight frame and Nike Black sport loop. At least in here Midnight looks noticeably blue.

reading through what apple gives us. It says that the crystal is stronger making this the most durable Apple Watch yet. Does that mean the aluminum (sport, whatever you call it) will have sapphire crystal screen similar to years past of the SS? Part of the reason I go for the SS is because of the sapphire crystal display.

They didn’t say. I doubt it though. As others said, that would eat into their higher end sales.

Same. Still not a compelling upgrade over my Series 4. Better battery life was the bare minimum I needed to upgrade.

I would be interested in knowing that, too. I have always bought Stainless Steel because of the better glass.

Yeah I think this is true however don't forget they do have the SS and the TI that are at different price points with no difference other than the case finish.
So people might be happy to pay a premium to get a SS or TI case over the AL just for a case upgrade (as they do now for the SS to TI). Not to mention cellular comes standard on those.

If it makes you feel better, macOS Monterey's page uses the same "coming this fall" language so hopefully we'll get the watch by the time Monterey is out.

Aluminum models are confirmed to use Ion-X Glass instead of sapphire. You can check this out by using the AR model of the Series 7 on Apple's website.
