I have decided that's color combo (Graphite/Abyss) I want as well. First time in awhile I am going back to Stainless.

It's relevant because it's clearly been stated that the flat sided watch was used in the promotional video and is evidence that the flat sided watch exists. I'm saying that it's not the flat sided watch in the video and it's not a piece of evidence that the flat sided watch exists.

I do agree though, likely we won't know. My gut feeling is that the flat sided thing was (or is) real, I'm just not at all convinced that Apple managed to "leave" it in the video. The chain of events for that to happen are practically inconceivable.

In the course of product design, there are dozens of valid reasons why some designs get left on the cutting room floor or never make it to production. As far as we know the flat-sided case design has been considered for every Watch iteration since Series 0. It is highly probable that the same company that sold flat-sided products of all kinds (iPhone 4, iPad Pro, iMac, Mac Book, etc.) considered applying the same design to the Watch for many years now.

Hypothetically if the flat-sided design was truly intended to be Series 7, and that design was cancelled later in the process than usual (it's all rumors unless Apple says so), I would bet COVID-related supply constraints played a big part in that. Every large manufacturer is facing unexpected supply constraints these days.

Apple wouldn't be stupid enough to leave the flat sided watch in the video. Come on.
I have no idea why everyone is assuming the flat sided watch was the initial design. Once again, based on all the rumours on youtube. If you don't like the Apple watch 7, just stay with whatever current series you're using. Period.

Is this new? It shows on top of the Series 6 pages on the app.

I think it looks like the rounded watch they released based on the screen grabs and thickness of the glass. You can see the rounding.
I never understood why people kept saying the video suggested a flat sided watch due to that one supposedly "unedited" frame. That's not how video editing works. Apple does not edit a video frame-by-frame and let's say they did record the surfer wearing a flat sided watch. It's easier to cut that entire segment out and replace it with a reshoot of the surfer wearing the actual Series 7.

Does anyone know if amazon uk will have the Apple Watch s7 for preorder?
Normally they sell them from the release date but it will be worth checking.
Since Australia is a day ahead of us I wonder if Apple store will be updated for them beforehand? So, People in US may have the advantage?
I was hoping it would have been updated today so that we get 48hrs to choose

I think I might just get up early on launch day and pick one up at the Apple store. Hopefully the line won't be too long. My son did this for his iPhone 13PM and he said no one was there early despite him getting there 2 hours before opening. He was first in line.

That’s been there since at least yesterday when I first noticed it. It doesn’t point anywhere useful unfortunately.
Haven't had the time to actually click on it before work. It wasn't showing for me yesterday evening and I check the Apple Store app a few times a day these days. Maybe it came up later in the night. Still, a (small) step forward from not showing it, it's like they're making it ready.
