In other exciting news, my 45mm Hermès is now preparing for shipment. But my delivery date is 21 Oct?
Australian delivery tracking usually only updates a few days before delivery. Are they coming straight from China / Vietnam?

I have a feeling they might come from Vietnam. If they do.. tracking will be very interesting for the first time ever. We should start seeing UPS scans tomorrow.

We visited SF a couple of years ago and Alcatraz was definitely a highlight. Loved it.
We have a trip booked to NYC and Vegas next month… dependant on foreign travel being allowed. Crossing fingers and toes. Missing the US.
NYC is definitely on the bucket list. Planning on visiting there next year. Hope you get to travel soon.
Do Watches ship out of China like iPhones? With all the customization, I’d guess that they distribute more locally.
Wow, very interesting. This is the only configuration that I’ve discovered to be available in my area as well.
They may already be in country. For the UK, there's a fulfilment company (synchreon) who handle the launch day models. eg. My iphone 13 went to "preparing to ship" on the sunday, but was there until thursday when it switched to shipped and tracking information appeared for friday delivery. I think they charged the card fully on monday or tuesday (rather than the 0.01p preauth check at order time).
Now thats what makes this thread such fun. Sadly nothing I can see in the UK (in fact, interestingly, the sport band isn't even an option with graphite SS case in the UK, at least not in the app) but it does mean they're releasing a little more stock at times.

I think it might depend - although for v7 with no power supply, packaging may have changed.
Previously with the edition (ie. Titanium), don't you get both a sport strap in the watch box, and then the chosen strap as a second box, all wrapped up?
I'd have thought then, returning the separate second box with chosen strap should be doable?
Whereas maybe other models they're all sealed in one (nike?) so it may be only possible to return the whole thing perhaps.
I’m not sure, as I haven’t bought watches since S4. Back then the watch and the band were in separate boxes all contained inside another box. IIRC, the sport band I got was in the exact retail packaging.
Hopefully S7 is the same and I can just swap on the spot.

I think only to phone them (with no promises). And quickly, before they do the card charge.
I presume you've checked both the app and website (I recall that the cancel button can be in one and not the other at times).
The lady on the phone said I have to wait till it ships and then ship it back.. or call ups/dhl as soon as I get my tracking to ask them not to ship the watch to me. Sounds a bit complicated.
Also checked the app on all devices… no button. Poor me. Thought maybe the MR crowd knows a way or work around. Thanks anyway 😄
So, I went today to the Apple store and tried on some braided solo loops to see how they feel - fantastically comfortable! Then, back home I wanted to place the order for my red S7 with pick up at a store not very close but not too far either (it showed last night availability for launch day in many stores around here). Well... no more availabilities close to me, only delivery dates between Nov. 2 and Nov. 9-11. Not too bad either but after seeing last night so many availabilities, it felt almost... crushing.
Luckily, I emptied the shopping bag a few times, trying different variations and I finally was able to place the order as I wanted in the first place, with a store pick up, not very close this time, for next Saturday (cannot go there after work on Friday, too far to make a round trip after a full work day at night). So yay, next weekend I'll join the club of the newest, happiest S7 owners.
Anyone knows, for the store pick up, is there a tracking or rather an update of where the watch is and when? I'll die slowly for 7 days...

Before you leave if you can check out Swensens it’s an ice cream that I’ve been going to since I’ve been a little kid. Freaking amazing.
It’s located at Hyde and Union, five minutes from the fisherman’s wharf.
The black sand beach is also beautiful. Last time we went there (in spring), we came back with some black sand and we made small bottles filled with the sand and a few tiny shells on top, as souvenirs for friends and family. They can be either worn as necklace or kept on a desk or something.
Just an email on the day I think, to confirm its ready for collection at your chosen time. Possibly a text message too.

I usually either order online with home delivery, or sometimes buy directly from store. This is a first for me.
No scans yet. I’m not convinced my watch is coming from overseas. I think its already stateside as it is unusual that by now i can’t track it by reference number yet. My apple cc was charged for the full amount since Friday and is still pending.
