There is a specific SS combo that is still showing up for in store pickup for Friday. I posted about it last night here.
Same in Chicago, even at the big time locations like Mag Mile. Seems odd to me.
I suspect either they won’t have any due to low supply or else they don’t know how many yet so wont make available until they know how many
I had a defer a scheduled trip to Vegas because of the pandemic. Looking forward to returning.
Question to all you experts : Is it better when you add a new watch to sent it up as new or from a backup ?

I always restore. It’s much easier as I have my bank cards set up in the wallet and cellular data plan
The only problem with the Watch is that you get used to it and practically never wear a real one after that 😜

Tried to order a base model today — 41, blue, alum, no cell, basic blue band…None available. Good. I’m not really sold on the crappy battery life.
Yeah I tend to agree with that. I haven’t worn any other watch since I’ve got my first Apple Watch in 2015. They are just so much more practical and convenient than a normal watch
I managed to bring my sister to my Local Best Buy to get hers pre-ordered using her company issued gift card that she could only use in-store (no online purchase). they still have few options available for Oct 15th delivery and she got what she wanted, Alu Green 41mm GPS model.
Agreed. I've fished out my garmin that I use for my stupidly long 100km runs (AW battery life!). Only a couple of days and I already the AW. 5 days to go!
I have to charge my 4 three times a day. Not practical. Love the sleep tracking, but Garmin has solar powered GPS watches that last 80 hours w/GPS, 300 w/o it. Think I’m going that route.
That’s unlucky as I’ve always got a solid 30 hours out of my Apple watches
And they do, thats the garmin i'm referring to above. 21 days at least it will run for (minus SPO2 & any GPS tracking)
Ugh...so true. I have a Sub, GMT Master, Speedy Pro, 300M and a few others that have really had to go into hibernation.
For what it's worth, and with a big IIRC disclaimer, the AW doesn't seem to have the potential issues that some users have with iPhones and iPads (which, by the way, is probably a small percentage, but they're vocal, for good reasons). I always restore and have never had any issues at all. If the restore doesn't work out right, try again. If that doesn't work, you can just go ahead and set up as new!
When I’m training for a marathon I will consistently wear my Fenix but otherwise wear my AW pretty exclusively. For me the AW is too toyish and lacking features for serious run training. Casually when I’m just logging miles it’s fine though. And the Garmin battery life is 🤌
What's really interesting to me (small mind...) is that if I try that using the "normal" purchase selection I get nada. If I use the "create your style" applet it shows this being available everywhere locally. Super odd.
