So I was thinking about why Apple let us pre-order right away but then wouldn’t ship the watches for a week after the iPhones. Anyone have any ideas as to why they would do that? I keep hoping (in vain) that all of a sudden they will decide to ship them early.
id imagine its the logistic load on the carriers, as well as apple support etc. thats just my assumption

Things aways look bigger in pictures. I suspect it won't be as chunky as people are assuming.
It's kind of my expectation as well which is why I ordered one. Just needed other options for bands to match the body better than the regular sizes.

Not to many people are ordering the Ocean midnight band, to me is the most obvious because water sports, pool. Beach, shower… After inventory gets better, I’ll order a trail one.
I ordered that band separately and it should arrive on 9/23. Also ordered the black trail loop but that won't arrive until sometime in November.

Cool if you live near enough to an Apple Store that gas money won't be an added expense and if you order fast enough before the in-store pickup date slips into a month later.

I ordered the Ultra with a green alpine strap size small last Friday from Sept 23rd delivery. Originally ordered a Series 8 but decided I need to get my hands on the Ultra to keep the FOMO at bay.

Originally ordered the Apple Watch Ultra with the Orange Alpine Loop from Verizon with a 9/23 delivery date. I got a huge anxiety attack and ordered a L and I think I need a medium. So I placed an order for an Yellow Ocean band, and ill get the L swapped out for a medium

That’s the one I want to order too.

What’s your wrist circumference?

S sounds quite small…

I will do store pickup as there's no one home to accept delivery. I had planned on the alpine green but that's canvas.

The darker (midnight ocean) color is the 'diving' band but I have a feeling that this will make the watch that much more bulky looking.

Again, need to see one in person....

I wear an 8 braided solo loop - what size AWU band would you choose if you were me?

I like my bands a little loose

Not sure. I usually use the smaller version of the sport bands and have a bunch of slack left. I figure it it doesn't work out I can sell the band and get a different size when they are more readily available.

I keep reading posts that indicate a 23rd of Sept delivery date. I hate to burst happy bubbles but isn't the 23rd the shipping date which would mean delivery would be a few days later?

Can you all help me decide? I like that the ocean band would probably be easier to clean (despite all of the tubes), but I prefer the off-white color and metal connector (to the case) of the alpine. Thanks in advance :D

I had ordered both but I kept it down to the offwhite alpine and midnight ocean. Had the green alpine but the color looked so bad on video and way dif color, the white ocean also looked worse

I realized I'll be out of town the Friday for a wedding, does anyone have experience telling a carrier to "hold" the package for a few days? Or am I going to have to pray to the package gods that it will sit there for 3 days?

Wait, Verizon offers $180 for Series 6? Apple's max offer is $155 and that's for the newer Series 7. Any idea how much Verizon offers for Series 7?

I am getting $200 off the purchase of the Ultra for my 7 at Best Buy.

Both FedEx and UPS will hold a package for for seven days, I believe UPS requires you to be a My Choice member. Not sure if FedEx has special requirements.

@NozzleDazzle You can also pay UPS a fee of $9.99 to have your package delivered another day without being a My Choice member.

If it is shipping via FedEx
