Same config with Oct3-10. I am still hoping i get it on launch date
Just as a data point, my buddy did order one with the grey Trail Loop Band and was able to get a launch day arrival. So, apparently they did exist. I thought I was quick to shop, but evidently not quick enough.

That orange band is pushing everyone's orders back. Definitely was the most popular choice. I'm just going to order all the bands separately from other retailers.
That's cool! It's the one I went for first but straight away the delivery date was October, similar with the strap on it's own.
Midnight was the most popular. Orange was second and yellow last. Judging from availability at least through various outlets.
I cancelled my black/grey trail strapped Ultra because it was a late October delivery and ordered the Alpine Green Ultra for September 23rd…and this photo makes me so glad I did. Strap looks beautiful! My Irish buddy gonna be jealous lol.
Will be honest, I think it’s a pretty move on Apple’s part to have designed the watch for band compatibility all the way to the Series 0.
Yeah I might need to go ahead & scoop that green band up, after seeing that photo. Looks clean.
I ordered an Ultra with the ocean band last Thursday 9/8/22. The order is confirmed but the payment is still pending on my Apple card. At the time of order, they provided an estimated delivery between 9/27 and 10/5.
That’s normal. You won’t see a charge until there is a tracking number
You sure can hope, but it most likely will not happen. You are already in the second cluster of dates after launch. Probably tens of thousands are in the week before you and they are hoping as well for launch date. A few of the first cluster may get lucky, but I doubt it will extend to the second cluster.
I am in the first cluster and hope for end of September delivery. However, I happily could accept launch date ...
This isn’t true. I ordered one with Alpine Green loop after the event. It will be delivered on launch day. The orange was available at the same time. Didn’t check the white.

You gotta be crazy to buy the S8 ss. If anything, buy the S7 ss. $549 from Apple and Amazon/BestBuy will have it cheaper still. Seriously. Don’t. Either Ultra or S7. Then you have at LEAST a $250 decision.
Trail and Alpine are two different bands. Alpine was readily available, Trail was not 👍
Ultra with Green Alpine Loop for day one, coming from AW7 with sports band, which has been great especially cleaning watch after sweaty activities! (keen runner/cyclist) my only concern is how will the watch strap on the Ultra stand up to keeping clean after activities, will it just wash off under the tap like the previous sports bands?
Wear it in the shower. That’s what I do with my current watches and bands when I use them for bouldering (they get covered in very fine chalk).
Alpine Loop & Trail Loop are two different straps my friend.
I can not wait to wear the ultra instead of my fenix6 ugh that beast is so heavy. I know the ultra will not fully replace the fenix but hopefully in the near future it can. Apple ux is so much friendlier than garmin.

I know … it is very unlikely for a launch day delivery. I will check store availability on the launch day.
Hey all! What do you use for chargers/stands? For a long time I've used the Apple Watch puck and a little stand that looks like an iMac, but the ultra won't fit in it. I went out and bought the Belkin Boost Charge Pro Portable Fast Charger for Apple Watch (long-ass name), but it doesn't seem to charge my watch as quickly, and I haven't had great luck with Belkin in the past (this was years ago, so maybe they've gotten better). I am thinking about returning it for a stand or another charger brand if you guys have any suggestions.
