I picked up a Xs in space grey yesterday. Giving it a good week to test out

Early impressions are positive, but I feel I will be returning it - it's an identical experience to the X, and I'd rather keep the 1500$

I plan to get a Xs Max for my dad so he can see if the screen size works for him. I played with it at the Apple store and I found it really neat how light it felt despite it factually weighing the most

For me the series 4 is what I'll likely be keeping out of the new products

Loving my XS Max. Performance, display, battery and camera all huge improvements over my previous phone (iPhone 7).

Face ID is impressively fast and really like the new gestures, really glad I finally jumped up to the big phone. Last couple of upgrades I’ve nearly gone for the bigger form factor but bottled it last minute, couldn’t see myself going back to a smaller size now.

are you happy with your new iPhone Xs, have you had any problems with your new device? I’ve had my Xs Max for 3 hours now and loving it, the screen is beautiful and the nectarine case looks great on the device

Is there anyway you can post a pic of your phone in the case? I really want to try out the nectarine color but not sure how it looks in actuality. Is it more orange or pink?

Nice to not feel like I have a brick in my pocket.

This is exactly I feel with my XS, I tried both new phones in my pocket, but the XS felt more comfortable to carry/wasn’t bulging in the pocket. However, I am coming from the iPhone 5 (I get my money’s worth! ;))

I am happy with my Max (LOL terrible name). The screen is just huge and it looks amazing, Face ID works very well, which is something I wasn't expecting, the speakers sound great, it's fast and powerful, all in a package the same size as my 7 Plus. If there is one thing I'm not happy about its the price. It's a really expensive mobile device.

VERY happy. This is the phone (XS max) I’ve been waiting for for years.

Only very very minor gripes with it. The only reason I would replace it in the future is 5G support (even then given UK’s abysmal adoption of new tech it might not be relevant anyway over here) and/or if they got rid of the notch (touchID built into the display?)

Other than that I am blown away by how much of a leap this thing is over the 8+ I had. This really is the peak of a mobile phone experience.

I called into Apple today to look at the phones. Could’ve believe how much better the XS screen was compared to my iPhone 7 (i didn’t look at last year’s models). It looks amazing. Instantly made my mind up to get bag one. Can’t wait to set it up.

Love the iPhone XS Max so far. I’ve just really been using it over the last hour. Prior to this I was using the series 4 watch which is my first Apple Watch.

The iPhone XS Max is a perfect size for me coming from the 7 plus. I love the lack of home button and really love the gesture based UI. The UI is so smooth and fast with this phone. Cannot be happier.

Not happy.

So I ended up going for a Gold XS.
Comparing it to my white X, it doesn't feel as nice in the hand.
The chrome on the white one feels much more smoother and like you're actually touching metal whereas the gold XS feels "sticky" and doesn't feel metallic but more rubber like...almost as if I've got a case on it.

Actually, if even the glass feels smoother on the X.

Anyone else noticed this, or is there something wrong with my XS?

I tested the gold in the store today, and the bands feel plasticy to me, almost like Chrome. I know what you mean.

My wife got a XS Max. I have an X. I think the Max is fantastic. The screen size is fantastic. Next time I upgrade (next year) I might get this size.

I love my XS . There 's only one thing I really miss from my 7 is the fact that I can't have the zoomed view any longer . I looked it up and saw that only the Max had this feature now .

Love my max. I’m coming from a X and missed the big screen.
It’s going to take a while to adjust to the size.

im happy with mine i knew what i was getting myself into when i watched the keynote address that with the xs max all i was really getting was a bigger screen . im on att next plan and im paying around same price a mont so i was like why not because i know next year im upgrading again if god allow me to be have the resources to do and be here on this cold cold planet

So happy to be back on a big screen. From the 6+ to the X - that was tough but I adjusted. However now on the Max, the iOS experience feels so much better, especially on the keyboard. Very happy, great screen too. Only wish is for more wallpapers.

Same here. I had my 6+ for almost 4 years, went to the X and loved it, but I was so used to the bigger sized phone. The XS Max is exactly what I wanted.

Loving the Max. Moved from an X simply for the screen size. Just need to get used to two handed use again and also the weight increase.

I agree with this.

For users upgrading from the 6, 7, or 8 the Xs Max will be incredible.

However after using the iPhone X the past year and thinking that that phone was perfect except for the screen size being too small, I surprisingly am feeling underwhelmed by the Xs Max.

I was expecting to somehow be ‘wowed’ with so much screen, though all I’m getting is the exact iPhone X screen/experience on a bigger display.

Hands down last year I’d say the iPhone X was worth the $999 price tag, the iPhone Xs Max at $1099 not so much...

I’d recommend any iPhone X users to keep their X another year and see what Apple has up their sleeves next year.

I preordered the Max in 256 Space Gray, however exchanged it today for the xs in 256 space gray. I had an X and really came to like the size of it coming from the 6+, and 7+. I went to my local apple store today with the Max still unopened to play around with the the demo units to see how i liked it. The max is awesome, beautiful display and great feel, in fact felt better than the previous plus models. However once I placed the leather case on it, it felt to big and unwieldy for me. I am 6'4" and have big hands so I can handle the phone just not as well as the x and xs. Don't get me wrong the Max is the best upgrade to the x however for my own use the xs just fits better. Wife will be taking over my x to replace her 6S+.

Yep. I tolerated the X because oled, features etc. But now am happier again with bigger screen. Killer screen at that. That’s the main event. Any other improvements seem very minor although I notice the speed, camera, and sound improvements.

Did you turn of true-tone and tweak the color-scheme? I did that and now it does'nt look yellowish at all.

I’m letting mine have some usage time before worrying about screen. I’d rather have to do nothing to it and keep True Tone on.

I ordered the gold XS 512, received it yesterday, opened it, hated the color, went to the Apple store and exchanged it to the silver 512. All within a few hours after the gold got delivered. I'm so glad they had it in stock. Also picked up the watch in stainless steel 40mm. Yesterday ended up to be a good day. Oh, and since I was at the store, I decided to trade in my silver X 256 and got $520.00. It was a really good day!
