IUP for me... automatic at launch, upgrades to the phone really don't matter. I'm the test crash dummy for others, so it's okay. I'll let them know if they should upgrade or not LOL

After doing some research it seems it might be better to wait until the iPhone 16 like I planned. My iPhone 14 pro max is still a FANTASTIC phone and does everything I need it to do. Since I already have an apple watch ultra, the chances of me upgrading any of my Apple products this year is very slim. If anything, I may upgrade my Macbook Pro M1 13-inch to a newer model. But I am not really pushing for it since my M1 Macbook still does everything I need it to and exports video projects extremely fast through Adobe etc.

I currently have the 13 mini and it still does everything I need it to do. I don’t plan on upgrading until Apple decides to finally add 120 hz displays to the non-pro iPhones.

I have the 14 Pro Max as well and it has been a fantastic phone and I still love it the same as the day it launched. I can definitely keep it for another year and wait for the 16 Pro Max. I’ll upgrade it then.

I'm going for the 15 Pro Max this year. I now have a 13 Pro (the best iPhone I've ever had) but my heavy usage killed the great battery in it. Really looking forward to it tbh. That would be the second "max" iPhone for me after an 8 Plus.

iphone 11 pro here, I think it's time to upgrade. Debating the max vs the pro, Ive had bigger phones in the past but downsized for easier handling but my eyes are aging now. I have side pockets on most of my pants and shorts and the pro lives in those, I doubt the max would fit so that may change my mind

Currently still using my launch X, battery replaced by Apple in December. I am going to see what it offers once launched, compare again a 14 pro and then decide whether to get a discounted 14 pro of go for the 15 pro.

My iPhone XR is still going but this is the year my wife and I may upgrade. Laggy everything is starting to become an issue in our day to day, which usually means it’s time to upgrade for our own sanity.
what is laggy?
usually the lag comes courtesy of Apple via "updates"
I'm still running an iphone 8+ just fine. I would like a usb-c iphone and better camera, but not sure it's worth it.

I disagree with the characterization implied herein by the word "usually." While Apple updates can sometimes take their toll, it has been my observation that the most significant source of iOS lag is a lack of free space on the device. If you don't make a habit of filling up your device with photos/videos/whatever, you're far less likely to experience any significant detrimental impacts to device performance, regardless of whether or not you update. I have an old iPhone X (roughly the same vintage as your iPhone 8+) which my youngest son uses; it's fully up-to-date, and like your 8 it seems to run just fine.

I don't know yet. I'm very conflicted. I'm starting to get bored with my 12 Pro Max. I was all set to upgrade to the !5 Pro Max up until I heard the rumor of the size increase for the 16 Pro Max. I really want the 6.9 Pro Max. So it depends on what is announced in September if its not enough to sway me I'm going to replace my battery on my 12 Pro Max and upgrade next year.

Been very happy with my 12 pro since launch, I used to buy every iPhone, back from the first one. It was very exciting for a while, but after I got Prores and pretty good cameras on the 12, I'm really not that excited about the iPhone anymore. Its the Apple silicon that get my juices flowing these days :)
Its just to not enough new stuff to cram into a phone that's that much different from a few years back

Will move down from the 14 Pro Max to the 15 Pro. Want the smaller size.

As much as I want to, I don’t need to.
Happily enjoying the 14 Pro Max. I haven’t utilized my phone enough to justify an upgrade.

almost assuredly, I have an 11 Pro Max now and it is starting to show its age. I've kept both my iPhones for four years and I've noticed in the fourth year on each phone the speakers starting to go. My 6s+'s speakers were god awful in year 4 and my 11 Pro Max is starting to get pretty bad, enough that I somewhat regret not going for the 14 Pro Max

But I've been upgrading all of my Mac hardware this year. I'm still eyeballing an M2 Pro Mac mini to replace my 2012 Mac mini so I think I'll try and delay my iPhone upgrade.

I’m upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro Max because I’m coming from the Samsung Galaxy S8 (original) that I’ve been holding onto for the past 6 years since its release back in April of 2017 (though I got it on October on that same year).

It’s on its last legs. The internal memory for the S8 is only 64 GB’s, & I’m already running out of space in which I had to uninstall many apps just to back up Samsung’s Cloud data.

Gotten a notice that Samsung Cloud’s ending support for music & documented backups on July 3rd. It’s one of the reasons why I’m opting for either 512 GB or 1 TB of internal storage for future-proofing.

Though Apple needs to start with 256 GB of storage as the base minimum with 2 TB as the maximum. The apps are increasing in space after all, plus the 15 Pro Max has the periscope camera on top.

It’ll be a huge upgrade for me regardless, but for everyone else who already has something like a iPhone 13 Pro Max or a iPhone 14 Pro Max, it’s not.

I'm tempted because I hate my android phone. I don't know if I want to wait for the 15 or just bite the bullet and get the 14 PM (love the purple).

Which android phone are you using currently?

The 14 PM is awesome but try and hold out to the 15!! It’ll be worth it
