Thx me too, the early renderings look really nice. And yes at this time that is the name, the Redskins are no longer unfortunately. But even more exciting is were finally going to be getting rid of Dan Snyder!
My husband is so excited about that (getting rid of Dan Snyder). He has made it a point to NOT talk about his favorite team since last season. He finally mentioned it today at breakfast. I watch along sometimes but I don’t really follow any of the team news anymore, since my dad passed away last year. I will probably dive back in to see if anything changes with Washington under new ownership but I’m not expecting the team to be rebuilt fast after years of poor ownership.

I’ll have to keep an eye on the burgundy IPhone rumors for my husband. I have a feeling that’s going to be the one he will want.

Made my decision.

Just isn't enough (based on the leaks) to entice me to buy a 15 Pro. Probably a bit better battery, thinner bezels, USB-C. That's it really.

Managed to get a good deal on a 14 Pro so I'm upgrading my 13 mini to that, and sticking with it.

Only thing that would really entice me would be if they get rid of the pill, or a dramatic re-design. Looks like I'm sticking with the 14 Pro until at least 2025.

I would like to get the 15 Pro. If the Max is the only one with an optical zoom, I might consider it although I think it's too large.

The deal-breaker will be the edges. If they are going to be a little rounded, so it doesn't cut into my hand like the last few models, I am positive I will overlook the ugly pillbox "island" and get one.

If Apple insists with the sharp edges, I will just move back to Android. My secondary phone is a Flip 4 that I got on a bit of a whim but now I really like it and use a lot, there's no loss of anything for me except a bit of iPad integration that I can live without.

Absolutely!! Going for the 15PM

Periscope camera lens is one of the main reasons why. I usually carry both 14PM and S23U(second line) with me. The times I go out without the S23U, I end wishing the iPhone had better zoom capabilities.

Also going to love finally having USB-C port.

I feel that! That’s exactly how I feel because I had the same two phones. I’m currently on a 12 Pro Max instead of the 14 Pro Max due to pwm being easier for me to take on the 12 Pro Max. But it’s still the same situation in terms feeling the absence of that incredible zoom when it’s just me and an iPhone.

I won’t be a preorder person because of my struggles with pwm. If I were not having migraines so bad on the 14 Pro Max, I’d really prefer to keep it another year or even two. I think very highly of my 14 Pro Max minus the migraine issue with it.

But I’ll see what the displays are like on any of the next gen models and if they’re compatible with my sensitivity I will get one. If not, I’ll stay on the 12 Pro Max as long as I don’t develop a sensitivity to its display, too.

I actually prefer some of the photos I get from this 12 Pro Max to some I’ve gotten from the 14 Pro Max. They look less processed and more true to reality as my eyes see it.

That is one thing I hope they’re improving on the next generation: dialing back the processed look.

almost assuredly, I have an 11 Pro Max now and it is starting to show its age. I've kept both my iPhones for four years and I've noticed in the fourth year on each phone the speakers starting to go. My 6s+'s speakers were god awful in year 4 and my 11 Pro Max is starting to get pretty bad, enough that I somewhat regret not going for the 14 Pro Max

But I've been upgrading all of my Mac hardware this year. I'm still eyeballing an M2 Pro Mac mini to replace my 2012 Mac mini so I think I'll try and delay my iPhone upgrade.

I upgraded my 2014 Mac mini to a m1 Mac mini and regret nothing. Love the little machine

I agree. The 14PM seems to capture the colors perfectly, but it always looks like it's using artificial light. As if someone was using one of those professional studio lights.

Hope you don't have any pwm issues with the 15PM. :)

I can't believe we talk about buying phone with the hole named 'dynamic island' in part of the screen. I'm using iphone and mac with the notch now and i can't even image to make bigger downgrade and buy 'hole' phone.
To be fair I need to admit I'm a huge fan of Apple buy this notch /hole thing take to much space from our portable devices. The same with mac - earlier it was so great to hide top bar and get extra space.. waiting for clean (under display or without) camera.

I really miss the dynamic island now that I’m back on the notch. It gave me useful information on some of my apps. I miss the extra pixels vs this feeling I’m peering under a visor on the 12 Pro Max I had to revert back to. I got used to the dynamic island fast but I did also used to use a Samsung that had a less useful pill cutout.

I currently have a 13 Mini for work and a 12 Pro Max for personal, both still in excellent condition ... have been thinking about grabbing a 14Pro (Max is a bit big for me to carry while running), but feel like I've now delayed enough that I might just wait for the 15 Pro.

Currently on the fence. Main reasons for going from 13 PM to 14 PM were terrible screen uniformity on multiple replacement devices and the killer 48 MP camera. I use RAW mode almost every day and taking pictures with this phone when traveling has made it really worth it.

Periscope camera is interesting to me but I zoom in past the default 3x optical zoom very rarely. Thinner bezels are meh (I never found myself really wanting even thinner bezels). Doesn’t seem like there is much else going on display wise and the 48 MP main camera seems to be the same. Titanium frame would be nice to have I guess. Not sure that all of these add up to $800 for me since I spring for the 1 TB model.

I'm planning on skipping this year and upgrading to either the iPhone 16 Pro or 17 Pro depending on how strong my willpower is. The 16 Pros are supposed to get larger displays and 17 Pro is supposed to get under-display FaceID, both of which are exciting to me especially stacked with the other features I'm missing out by not upgrading sooner.

This year's upgrade just seems too minimal to me. Wouldn't really change my day-to-day at all, and a USB-C iPhone would actually make my life less convenient. The main advantage of USB-C is charging all devices with the same cable, but right now, the three devices I'm most likely to charge on the go all use lightning (AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, iPhone). Going USB-C on iPhone would actually force me to bring another cable compared to what I have now. Also, I have so many lightning cables that will go to waste once I switch to USB-C which is unfortunate. If I wait for the 16 Pro and 17 Pro, Apple should be only selling USB-C AirPods by that time too. My AirPods Pro first gens will hopefully get a good 5-6 years out of them by the time AirPods Pro 3 roll around.

I’ll be upgrading my trusty ol’ X this Fall when iPhone makes the jump to USB-C. I’ll be excited about the possibility of being able to utilize Hi-Res lossless streaming with a portable DAC, or with my home setup, if I so choose. :)

Dang, might be worth it then.
Of course that is right now, so unless you have a spare...I have my daughter's old 11 for temp usage.
it was itsworthmore, fyi

Also, it's why early on I say I'm not going to then realize I've only put a few hundred into it once I sell.

I will hopefully upgrade this year. I currently have the 12 Pro Max and the battery life is abysmal. Lasts about 4-5 hours after charging to 100%. And just recently I noticed the bottom main speaker no longer works so all of my sounds come from the earpiece which is awful.
I love my 12 Pro Max, but yes it has the worst battery out of any iPhone I ever owned, so as soon as the 14 Pro Max was announced and preorders opened, I immediately preordered, and I have never been happy with my battery.

Right now, I'm trying to decide should I get an iPhone 14 Plus (512 GB) or the upcoming iPhone 15 Plus (512 GB). I may end up with the iPhone 14 Plus (512 GB) because I worry the USB Type C port may not work with wired Apple Carplay on many cars.
It’s not USB C to USB A, it‘s not going to work, and you’ll have to buy adapters to turn one end into USB A, which is what I did for my USB C to lightening cables that I own.

13 Pro Max at launch was the battery king before an update later on brought it down by a good 20-30%. 14 PM hasn’t been able to match it.

I got 5G mobile internet but my iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn’t support it.

So I suppose it’s time to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
