I'm actually considering getting the iPhone 15 Pro Max 512 GB but I hate to imagine the price... 💸😒Yep I'll be upgrading my regular 12 to a 15PM and my watch 4 up to a S9 or Ultra. Will be fun
I thought the 12 Pro Max was perfect. Then a year in, I realized how bad the battery is and I was excited to upgrade to the 14 Pro Max. I too carried around a portable charger everyday to top up twice before getting off work.I'm already counting down the days until September!
I've got a 12 pro max and it's just awful! Not sure if it's because I've dropped it soo many times but the camera has a cast (fog) over it no matter what I do so there's no point me taking any pictures and the battery drains within hours, so much so that I have to keep a emergency charger with me now if I'm out plus one in the car too!
I know for certain that I'll be getting a pro because I've had a the plus/max sizes since iPhone 7 so I'm ready for a slightly smaller/lighter phone that doesn't take up a ton of space in my bags.
A lot of people have had battery issues wit their 12 series iPhones. I for one would’ve kept it longer than 2 years if the batter wasn‘t so bad. Charging 2-3 times a day was miserable. I couldn’t leave the house without a portable charger.Hmm, I don't remember the 12 PM having bad battery life. Since the larger Plus/Max screen sizes were introduced I've had them, never had issues with batt life.
We have two of the basic 12s in our house. Both have batteries that need recharging much faster than the 13s. One battery health is sitting at 82% and the other at 78%. We just returned from vacation and were constantly passing a portable battery between the two phones. In comparison the 13s would often “top up” using the car charger between attractions but it wasn’t necessary - just meant we didn’t have to charge overnight then.A lot of people have had battery issues wit their 12 series iPhones. I feel like that used to be true but the last two iPhones were practically free with trade in through carriers so now that doesn't hold as much water.I have an iPhone 11 but will likely upgrade to 14 Pro when the 15 comes out. I never upgrade to the latest, I find it more cost effective to upgrade to the version before. It's only just been replaced by a newer version so is still and impressive device but is now a lot cheaper.
On the other end, iPhone upgrades have never been so incremental, and it’s financially and environmentally smarter to hold on to your perfectly functioning iPhone now.
So, as of right now, are you planning on upgrading to the iPhone 15 series? Why or why not?
Edited 7/4/2023 to add new rumored features.
12 to 14 isn’t incrementalAs rumor says 15 Pro Max will provide
1. Periscope lens, that will provide better zoom.
2. 8GB RAM.
3. New buttons.
4. New Processor and GPU. Though Apple already blew other smartphone CPUs out of water, and A17 with 3NM architecture will significantly increase the battery life with performance.
Which will be a major upgrade on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I can get 14 Pro Max at good discounted price but I believe its an incremental upgrade

Maybe you use your phone too much? I mean...I think many people just find excuses to justify an upgrade when they don't really need one and just a battery replacement could easily do the job.A lot of people have had battery issues wit their 12 series iPhones. If you can't make a day with 91 battery health, you have a problem. This is perfectly fine. My 13 pro max have 90% battery health and I often end the day with 60~70% battery left lol.September would be just so dull if it didn’t involve annual iPhone purchase and delivery issues.
And the battery health is down to 91% so defo time to upgrade
