Currently on 12PM. I was going to get the 14PM for the SOS features, but decided to wait for this version because of USB-C. Since I'm in the woods a ton riding dirtbikes or snowboarding that feature is pretty important to me. The only way I don't get it is if the trade in deals are complete trash.

I'm actually good with my 12PM, especially since I just put a new battery in it. This is the longest I've ever gone without trading in - I'm an S-model/2 year guy. I'm really hoping they give the same trade in value on a mini as they do the 12PM that way I can give my daughter my phone and trade hers in. That said I guess I'm more eagerly awaiting to see the trade in deals than I am the phone. 🤷‍♂️

Who is going to buy the iPhone 15 Pro/Max? I won't be buying the iPhone 15 pro max because I don't have enough money and it's the same as iPhone 14 pro line up. Plus the iPhone 15 non pro's is really a iPhone 14 Pro and it should be a S edition, why has apple done the iPhone 14 pro four times one with iPhone 15 non pro with A16 cpu and iPhone 14 pro/Pro max with A16 so its the same.

Probably not. I upgraded every year until last year. My 13 Pro is still amazing so to spend the best part of £1500 on a like-for-like 512GB model with Apple Care for something that is essentially the same as my current phone is a ridiculous waste of money.

My battery is still at 92% and the phone looks as good as the day I bought it so unless the 15 Pro does something phenomenal that my 13 Pro can't then I really don't see myself topping up Timmy's pension pot this year.

Yes! Currently on a 13PM and planning to get a 15PM. Mainly camera and dynamic island (hate the name, like the function). I'm happy for USB-C and will also spring for increased space. That and I need something in life to look forward to! My 13PM will go to a friend who otherwise couldn't afford such a phone. :)

Can't wait until ordering day!

One - Its expensive.
Two - same processor as the iPhone 14 pro/max.
Three - wait till next year when they release Ultra Pro/Ultra Max, Pro/Pro Max. The Pro's name will replace the standard iPhone 15 next year so they will make a cheaper option. Do you think apple should release standard as Pro's side by side the ultra/ultra max?

Currently have a 12 mini and my hopes of getting another mini have come to naught. So, I guess I'll have to settle for a larger and heavier option, which very likley will be the 15 pro for me.

The pro this year is the only one to get and they get very exiceted and a big upgrade
- titanium grade 5 frame
-A17 N3 with 22 bil transistors (A16 had 16 bil transitors )
-1 more usage hour battery life compared to the 14 pro models
-6.2" and 6.8" displays thanks to the slimmer bezels
-camera improvement, with periscop moving lens for the Max and 6x real optical zoom
-Apple port it will be called the usbC that will have Apple Speed Control

Pretty sure the speed control and apple port is a joke...a big one.

Past couple of days, I've been thinking about just sticking with the 14PM. Based on the $720 value and the price hike, I don't really see much that I need anymore since I've been so dependent on the Watch to do many things. But I'll definitely need a new case since the silicone one I have is getting bad.

Still makes a difference if you have medical issues with your hands like myself.
Yes I can definitely see that and I sincerely hope it will help you a lot! I did not mean to discard this important side of it. We mustn’t forget these improvements effects, and also why Apple didn’t try to go lighter in the first place… they have made the pros quite heavy, and you belong to a group that are suffering a lot from this. I’m quite sure their weights have caused issues for some, by using them day after day.

From a personal perspective I don’t know if I should spend the best part of $2000 due to the 20g loss, or any of the other small increments. But let’s see if they can surprise tomorrow.

I’m just now learning today that Apple changed how the Apple Card installments work last month, and from what I understand, I can’t finance through my Apple Card since I’m on a Verizon business plan through work. Like, I can’t just finance and unlocked phone like I could in previous years.

So, I guess my answer is I won’t be upgrading this year, for the first time in 8 years. Unless anyone has some advice and can tell me what I might be missing.

I have a XR so it’s time but I travel abroad often and want the freedom of having a physical SIM card so I am torn. I may get a 13 pro since they still have one or I will have to jump ship to android…

I’m considering downsizing to 15pro from my 14pm…are you at all concerned abt the smaller battery?
It’s definitely on my mind, but hopefully there won’t be too much of a difference between 11PM and 15P. On the other hand I know that battery life on the 14PM is absolutely amazing. Are you maxing out your battery each day or do you end the day with plenty of spare juice?

I have a 14 Pro and I will be most likely upgrading to the 15 pro max. I don’t like big phones. But if features are locked to the larger size then that’s what I’ll get. I love photography and videography, so I want the best camera system I can get.

I do think it would be a bit of a scumbag thing if Apple to do if they reserve the better features for the Pro Max phone this year. Having identical features on two differently sized phones as we have currently satisfies the user base as every Pro user wants the better features, but not everybody wants a huge phone. It would be a kick in the teeth and I don’t know how they’d even justify using the word ‘Pro’ in the smaller size if they plan to short change people. I hope we are wrong tonight when the keynote comes.

Yep hopefully the 15p gives great battery. I usually end the day with enough battery left that I don’t need to charge it until late morning the next day, sometimes longer. But I don’t charge at the same time each day so it’s tricky for me to answer precisely. It seemed like the 13pm was actually better battery-wise, but I suppose that’s moot now since I’m only considering the 15pro or pro max of course. Let’s see what the keynote says!

Yeah, that was my issue with the 12 Mini. It would have been nice to have some of those "Pro" features in that smaller package. But probably they felt there wouldn't be enough interest in it.

It will be interesting to see how many of the rumors were right with regards to the new iPhone 15 features. And what features the leakers might have missed (like last year when the "Dynamic Island" debuted).

I have such mixed feelings about my 13 Pro. It’s a great phone in many ways but I’ve never liked it’s ergonomics or weight. Plus for reasons that even baffled the consultant I saw at Moorfields unless I lock the screen to 60MHz the screen affects my right eye.

But is it better the devil you know after all the iPhone 11Pro was one of the best iPhones I ever owned until it developed a faulty battery. But then the iPhone X was the worse iPhone I’ve owned with a screen that wrecked my eyes whenever.
