I might saved my money up and get me the iPhone 15 only for USB C other wise I stay with my iPhone SE 3rd gen or may be get me a good deal on a iPhone 14

I already decided that the next iPhone I get must have USB-C. Hopefully this will be the case with 15 Pro, as my 11 is kind of badly scratched and the speaker is partially blown.

Yes I am thinking of upgrading to the Pro 6.1 But I began to think this in 2020. What doesn’t help to let go my X is that it still runs smoothly and snappy on iOS 16. I wouldn’t mind a phone with a brighter screen and a better battery life, modem and camera etc. but then again, maybe later in the year it may turn out again that life wasn't listening while I was busy making phone replacement plans..

Nop.. too many issues with iOS. I’ll keep my 14 pro until it lasts and then look around for something more reliable.. which it is probably hard, but I can’t stand Apple software anymore

I know I know, but I have been in the ecosystem since 2005 and loved the integration between devices. Unfortunately nowadays every time I need to do something that involves scanning a document via continuity camera or using airdrop or using personal hotspot, or even adding music on the playing playlist on the HomePod I come across issues that require troubleshooting, rebooting or workarounds. It’s all going downhill to be honest.

I know I will have a hard time finding something else because I fundamentally don’t like android, but I also hate the idea of giving my money to Apple that hires a bunch of idiots to develop their main platforms and worries only about politics and try to look green by not including a charger with your phone without even giving you the option to include one for free at the checkout.

I think I’m just done with Apple.. sad story..

You be back just watch you go android software is vary slow and not all ways fast and updating well I recommend getting a pixel or Samsung phone if you wish to have the best software update experience i avoid moto and oneplus due to there slow software updates but choice is yours all so do not get a cheap android phone you be lucky to get 1 android upgrade a year on cheap android phones

I’d go pixel yes. Samsung is not for me for sure..
I am aware I might be back. I just can’t stand Apple incompetence anymore when it comes to software. I am really really frustrated by the mess they created.

Sometimes lovers leave each only to find themselves loving each other even more than before when they reunite. This is because happiness is embedded in sadness and vice versa. May be you should leave Apple to love Apple even more than before when you come back to Apple after a while.. who knows :)

Nah Im keeping my launch 11, just a battery replacement, as soon as it goes under 80% that is, but its good enough still for me. Ibhave never done a battery replacement since launch and its still at 80% while som 12 and 13 is below that, thats very strange to me

Yup and it's because I've been planning to upgrade from my iPhone X since the release of the iPhone 13, but I loathe upgrading so much that the slightest hitch is enough to cause me to procrastinate and wait another year.

Being a developer, it's somewhat important that I don't fall too far behind and lose touch with what the current standards should feel like so it's time for me to upgrade. I just don't have any desire to do so, but the chance to leave the lightning port behind might be motivation enough to get me to get off my butt and do it.

As long as they USB-C port is finally a feature - I am absolutely upgrading. I am so tired of the stupid Lightning port 🙄. I will gladly pay to replace all of my Apple products when they make the transition to USB-C

Yep, same here. My 11 is actually in pretty good shape but I've been fighting the urge to upgrade for a while. However USB-C is a must at this point. My iPhone is the only chargeable computer I own that cannot be charged with USB-C and while it's a very minor inconvenience it's an inconvenience nonetheless.

I went with 14 Plus instead 14 PM because of weight. I will buy 15 PM because of USB C and switch to lighter titanium.

Both 14 and 14+ offer more screen area than my 8+. Once you subtract the bit of area lost to rounded corners and the notch the 14 has about 3 percent more screen area than my 14 although strictly speaking the 14’s screen is a bit narrower than my 8+. Physically the 14 is near the same as my 8+ but shorter and a bit narrower and the 14 is lighter by about 30 grams.

The 14+ is near identical in size as my 8+ with the exact same width, but being a smidgen taller. I probably wouldn’t notice any real difference in feel in-hand given they’re essentially identical in weight. I find the idea of having more display within near identically the same size very appealing.

As long as the phone has the essential functions I use I couldn’t care less about the gazillion features added over the years. Like I tell people these phones do a million things you will likely never use, but as long as the do the maybe ten things you do use then you’re good.

Awhile ago I was wary of moving away from having a home button, but last December I bought an iPad Air 5 with Touch ID and all swipe control, so now moving beyond my 8+ won’t be an issue.

you can all ways get a iPhone SE 3rd gen if the iPhone 15 turns out some in that's not too your likeing

Yup, that is the plan. When my iPhone 8 is no longer supported I will checkout the latest iPhone screen. The SE3 would be the backup option if the main phone doesn’t work for me.

nope These days not only phones performance are good enough for all my mobile needs but it’s also have less and less new features that really worth an upgrade for. Plus nowadays I essentially only use my phone for calls, texting, social media’s, watching Videos and web browsing so my 13 pro Max is still very good for all that.

No. Because there’s no small phone in the lineup — and besides, my 12 mini is still holding up for now.

Like laptops 15 years ago, phones have finally reached the point where they’re “good enough” for the vast majority of users and you no longer get a massive improvement by upgrading every 1-2 years.
