I will probably upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro Max most likely.

Unless there is still a significant gap between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and flagship Android phones in terms of features, making the price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max a joke.

It will be a tough sell for me.

hardly a change in a design, periscope lens is still not confirmed, failed the captive buttons, no 90/120hz on a $850 phone, probably ANOTHER price increase in Europe, same display sizes for the last 4 years.

USB-C is the only thing that's positive from this years line up, I have the 14 Pro and aside from USB-C, this isn't going to be a big change.

I will probably swap out if the prices don't change and trade ins are decent, otherwise ill grab a Pixel 8 Pro because Europe and Asia don't give two poops about iMessage and green bubbles stupidity.

Nahhhhhhh skipping.

1). Bought a house and getting the keys next month. I have a **** ton of cash I need to spend, way more than a iPhone. Good with the 14 pro for the next 3 years. (Really want a House lithium battery charged by solar yum!)

2). It won’t make a difference in my use, I’ll use it the same way I’ve used iPhones since iPhone 6 Plus.

3). Camera doesn’t matter the 13 mini camera was great iPhone 14 pro is great. I can’t tell a difference.

4). I just want a battery swap in 2024. Im at 98% and I’ll wait till I’m 90% before I change it.

After thinking about it some more, if I get half of what I paid for the other 14 Pro Max to put towards the 15 Pro Max, then I’ll more likely upgrade. It also depends on the colors they release. I’m not worried about the other features, but getting used to USB-C will be an adjustment, as all of my Apple devices still use the lightning cable except the iPad Mini 6, I ordered last night. I’ll have to get used to carrying around 2 cables. Carrying around 1 cable was perfect for me, so we’ll see.

I wasn't planning to, since I already have a 14 Pro but I'm considering a 15 Pro Max or whatever it's called because it's getting harder for me to read on a smaller screen. I can turn up the font size on my Pro of course but that doesn't work for every app. I've never bought two new iPhones in a row.

If they finally fix the 120hz display I will upgrade and be set for years, otherwise nah. its sad as I love my Macbook and iPad but I just cant stand apple 120hz implementation, so i got rid of 13 pro max and Im waiting for an iPhone to finally fix this problem.

I'm gonna sell or trade in my 14 PM and get the 15 PM. Really liking the rumors so far of the action button, titanium frame, usb-c, and the periscope lens. The potential RAM bump is also an added bonus.

But what is wrong with these displays? You probably mean that some apps are not well optimized to use the 120Hz screen properly. Well, it's not the display's fault.

I have 13 currently. I tried 14 Pro a few times but I don't like it. It's too heavy. The only thing the PRO has that I miss in a standard iPhone is the 120Hz display. But I heard rumors that 17 will receive it so. I will probably upgrade like 13 std > 15 std > 17 std (120Hz).

are we thinking 15 pro max will have jumbo battery life gains over 14 pro max? or nah, incremental / none / regression even of a year battery life wise?

There’s been no rumors about it, so I’m going to guess it’s going to remain on par. The A17, new Qualcomm chip, and new LiDAR Scanner are all supposed to use less power than before, but the phones are also supposed to be slightly smaller due to the reduced bezels, so I could see the physical battery size being reduced. Hopefully iOS 17 will bring back the battery life of iOS 15 for all devices.

Sorry I updated to 14. Hate esim only. Pro Max too heavy. Design has become very stale. As someone else said, make me say wow.

I’m torn.

Had my 13 Mini since launch and it’s been nice to have such a pocketable and light phone. I am starting to envy friends with the standard size phone, though. A bigger screen and longer lasting battery are at the top of my list of ”features” I’d like to have.

Maybe I’ll scoop up a discounted 14 or 13 when the 15 arrives.

As much as I want USB-C...my 13 Pro still works fantastically. I don't wanna waste $900 just for a action button and USB-C port when my phone is still badass, especially since I got a feeling I may need to get a new iPad soon.

Our two iPhone13minis are working very well and none of the announced new “features” hold any interest for us. We’re more likely looking at the iPhone 19 assuming there is a mini-like version. I do like the potential for a USB-C charging port but that isn’t enough to convert. Lots of other things to spend money on.

I like the jump from the 13 mini to the 14 pro. Same with Apple Watch Series 5 to Apple Watch ultra. I don’t think I’ll experience another noticeable jump in features in iPhone until the iPhone 17-18. That’s when my iPhone 14 pro payment plan ends lol.

Everyone wants USB-C for 3 reasons:
1. Faster data transfer speeds - yeah, because you transfer Terabytes of data on a daily basis via cable. Ofc.
2. Faster charging - yeah, ruin your battery life quicker because of fast charging. Batteries 'live' longer when charged slowly.
3. It's a newer standard? Why no one talks that USB-C is more fragile? I dropped 2 phones with USB-C with the cable plugged in and I damaged the ports in my phone. They had to be repaired. Lightning is more durable because it has only 2 pieces while USB-C has 3 pieces. That small thing sticking out from the USB-C hole in the phone can be easily broken even while cleaning.
