I went from a Nov 2-9 delivery date on AT&T to a Oct 23 delivery with Apple.

Ordered a blue iPhone 12 using the AT&T trade-in promo ($800, trading in an X). Received order confirmation and a delivery date of 10/23. BUT, no mention anywhere about that promo offer, or my trade. Three calls to AT&T and no help, other than "that does not show for me, let me transfer" (and never transfers). Am I the only one who has this happening? I'm about to cancel my order since everything I can check just shows I bought the phone at full price, with installments (i.e., no mention about the trade or promo).

I checked trade-in and all looked good at check out, but when I finally received the confirmation there is no mention of a trade-in and the installment amounts are the full price. I was hoping this was just a delay in processing the trade-in but now I’m worried it didn’t process. Their confirmation emails are completely unacceptable. I guess I will have to call customer service on monday.I'm on hold with a guy from "online order processing" and he is telling me my order shows no promotion. He wants to cancel my order and reorder it, since he is positive I won't get the promotion. I didn't want to take a chance so cancelled and reordered. This time was different. The first time the final page after ordering, the "What's next?" page, just showed step one, "Keep an eye on your inbox" and "Get ready for your new device" at the bottom. This time there was a step two, "Send us your trade-in."
Indeed the AT&T guy confirmed that on his end the new order does in fact show a promotion applied, and the trade-in. Alas, my new confirmation email shows a delivery date between 10/26 and 11/2 (ugh). Oh well, I do feel better since the guy from AT&T was relentless that the original order needed to be cancelled. I think he may be right. I'd rather wait another week than have to fight for a deal I had no proof about (this time I screenshotted everything and saved the final order page as a PDF).

Were you able to get the promotion worked out?
when I tried that, it gives a lower amount and doesn’t show the full $800 promo trade-in value. That amount only seems to show up when you purchase a new phone so I’m hesitant to do that until I speak to customer service.I’m not concerned with it being on the confirmation email. There’s a website to log a trade in and get the same promo. If all else fails I’ll use that. https://tradein.att.com/

Can someone help me to know if you have the same problem? I pre-ordered via ATT website with the $800 trade in, and it tells me I need to pay $10 a month for 30 installments. I got the email and the email does not say anything for trade in, it says I have to pay $32/month. Is it normal? Why the email does not contain any trade-in information?

Did you have it shipping to a different location other than your billing address?! This happened to me last year and that was the reason.
I actually just replied to someone asking this haha. It's totally normal. The initial order page shows the price after the discount. But that doesn't become active until 1-2 billing cycles AFTER you trade your phone in. The email won't contain the trade in information because it hasn't been traded in yet, so it shows full price.
I've always just gone to the store and had them link the trade in to the line and it's always processed by my next bill or two, depending when they generated.

It must be random because when I ordered the X through premier a few years ago, I ended up getting a late shipping date. Who knows 🤷🏻♂️
For those wondering if you can trade in a phone to get a regular iPhone 12, I believe so, I have it under my account, I didn't do it, plus ATT tweeted it at me, that I can get iPhone 12 64GB for basically free with trade in, obviously 64GB is way way way too small for me. But it says for new and existing customers, get iPhone 12 for free.

That's odd, as I ordered the exact same phone, also via AT&T Premier, at 8am EST the day prior (26 hours earlier) and got estimated ship dates of Oct 23 - Oct 30...
Just curious, what does it look like when you go on the ATT order status? In progress? I still have not gotten a tracking number
