No offense, but that does not look nice at all. To each his own, but this whole bending thing has been blown way out of proportion. I’m pretty sure it effects less than half a percent of anyone who’s bought the new iPad Pro.

What’s ridiculous is this whole bending thing. It has been blown way out of proportion and now people are doing this to their iPads? It’s kind of hilarious and laughable, honestly. Anything from the first iPad to the new iPad Pro is going to bed if force is applied to it. It’s that simple. If you take care of your stuff, and are congnizant of force not being applied then you will have no problems.
[doublepost=1544499570][/doublepost]
This issue isn’t the box. The issue is it obviously had force applied to it BEFORE it was placed in the box. It would be impossible for it to get bent in transport in the box. Impossible. Any force required to bend it through the box would destroy it not bend it.
With millions of products leaving the factor, there are bound to be issues here and there of damaged products making it through quality inspection and placed in the box for shipping. We’re humans. We all make mistakes.
[doublepost=1544499647][/doublepost]
This. People are making way way way way too much over this bending issue. It’s few and far between. Simple care will prevent it from bending. It’s that simple.

I don’t think Apple is mocking us. They are making design choices. The 3.5mm jack is a thing of the past. I casn’t Believe people are still going on about it. Wireless headphones are the future, corded headphones or not. They had to make that transition at some point and they decided to do it when they did it.
Personally, I think this whole thinness thing has gone to far, but that’s what the buying people of people shows Apple most people want. Thin and light. The thinner anything is it is less durable - anything. I wish it would be the thickness of the camera, a little heavier, and a litter sturdier, but it’s not like any of this was a surprise. I knew exactly what I was buying and it was my choice to make the purchase. If the product isn’t everything you want, then either don’t buy it or live with it. It’s that simple.
There are tablets with 3.5mm jacks, and thicker, and more durable. If that’s what one wants that’s what one should buy.
Ugghh, Iron Man! My iPP is fine so far. People who are afraid to carry their iPad Pro in a bag or backpack should buy a lightweight 4mm aluminium Dibond iPad-sized plate (ca. 240g) or a stable carbon fiber composite plate for a few bucks and simply put it behind the iPad during the transport.No one is bending my ipad, not the russian dude, not the jerry rigged dude. I had a 1.5mm stainless steel plate cut along with some machined aluminum braces. looks nice and industrial, adds some weight to the ipad but I have no fear of leaving it in a backpack.

Well this thread has definitely been interesting to me. All this time I was wondering who are the customers who are really pushing for thin devices, pushing manufacturers to disregard aspects like structural integrity, repairability, all in the hopes of presenting millimeter-thin devices to end-users hoping to impress them with the first impression. It turns out there are a lot of you guys out there, and I understand now why apple must do what it does to attract customers like you. Notice i'm not complaining, i'm actually very happy with my solution even if it looks ugly to you. I got the super fancy device, added my bulletproof enclosure and i'm exactly where I want to be.I'm sorry but I cannot get this out of my head. It's no insult to you, but this is just over the top! As a case it's cool I will admit, but the fact that it was created with the intention of preventing bending is what I can't get over.
I do not pushing for thin devices, but I find your solution personally still bad. Of course, everyone may do what he wants with his ipad as long as no one is hurt or discriminated.Well this thread has definitely been interesting to me. Thats pretty dismissive from a consumer point of view. I think Apple fans give way too much leeway towards Apple.
I will buy the product I want and customize it to my liking. I don't understand why it's so upsetting to people in this forum.
"The Bend is the result of precision machining that creates an extraordinary user experience that we have never been able to achieve previously with standard aluminium. A Concave Unibody structure has been meticulously engineered with 100% recycled aluminium alloy. A two step process curves the aluminium unibody of the iPad Pro with surgical precision. It's the most beautiful product we have ever created not just internally, but also externally."

"We set out to create an accessory that would not only highlight the beauty of the iPad, but also to add structural integrity. The Claw has been designed as an organic extension of the iPad Pro. A Stainless Steel unibody flawlessly blends in with the iPad Pro adding protection without distraction".

Highly unnecessary, weird flex but okay.No one is bending my ipad, not the russian dude, not the jerry rigged dude. Can you post a picture? Also be warned that some people on this forum will accuse you of not taking care of your iPad.Mine is bent, quite bad like warped.
It has not left my desk, ever. It has sat on a stand running duet as a second display. I have used Bluetooth keyboard whenever it was being used.
It has just warped all by itself.
My new MacBook Pro Vega is flickering when hdmi attached
I can’t get appointment for a week at apple.
They won’t replace it not a warranty problem KntzCan you post a picture? Also be warned that some people on this forum will accuse you of not taking care of your iPad.

Maybe an overlooked manufacturing bend or an angry cleaning woman/girlfriendI honestly have not had this iPad out of the office, it sits on a stand running duet display. It gets very hot, not sure if this has anything to do with it. it has only bent at the top, where it wasn't supported by the stand. I don't go out of the house, I stay here and cull images. It has not moved.
Maybe an overlooked manufacturing bend or an angry cleaning woman/girlfriend...? I mean, nothing comes from nothing!

That is why this quality issue is so infuriating. Apple sells warped/bent iPads for more money than last year, then they will not own up to a problem they created in designing and manufacturing this product. It's astounding, and makes me hate this product and the company that produces it so hard.

No, seriously nothing has happened.
I would own it, no problem happily pay if something had any chance of happening, but this just didn’t. I dont understand and it has left me feeling shiiit about it.
It really just was bent? Odd, it does get hot though. Always plugged in via usbc to MacBook Pro.
Not happy
This really isn't a 'bending' issue - the problem is that the iPads are assembled and shipped with a slightly uneven frame at either the top and/or bottom, not that they are fragile and will bend in your bag or over time (unless you're as douchey YouTuber and deliberately bend it with unrealistic force do gain views).

I agree, sometimes you just have to shake your head at some of the stuff you read.ABSOLUTELY the best post on MacRumors of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!........I cannot get over this!!!! And this is where a Apple fan should draw the line and just give up......come on. So many other gadgets out there that would never need this much extra fluff to keep the device intact, non-warped, and completely stable.Definitely will pass this around to Reddit users lol....
It’s real, and ridiculous.
