I noticed they said they addressed issues after a restart in the new beta. For me this didn't only occur after a restart.

Thanks for uploading, looks like beta 3 is a no go for me, apple has been really sloppy lately, might as well start calling them Samsung/android.
Make a second attempt and… it’s seems fine after 2 reboot.

Still got the issue with multicore perf on beta 3.
Might want to try a settings reset. Don’t wipe, just settings. Might help. I really don’t know for sure but if apple did fix the issue, might be something lingering in the config files that lurk within the OS

Heads up, removed 14.6 beta 3 profile, phone restarted, multi core score went back down, turned phone off for 30 seconds, scores back to normal now.

Don’t restart your phone unless it’s urgent.

Well, looks like it’s not fixed yet good still promising because today’s highlights at least show apples awareness to the issue.

Anybody who didn’t downgrade is now stuck

Or just disable automatic update.
What? I’m saying if your on 14.5.1 and didn’t downgrade your stuck. You can’t go back. This was a method to fix the throttling that many on this board used, the only one with 100% success, and its now unavailable. Obviously if your on 14.5 turn off auto updates.

Quite possibly. Just thought I’d throw it in the ring as it seems to have rectified my device, at least for now. Nearly 24 hrs and all GB tests back to normal so I’m happy. Fully intend to keep an eye on this thread though. Just in case…
Holy..i just downloaded the ipsw file today for rolling back and itunes keeps giving me error 3194. Unlucky for me.

Yeah looks like your best bet now is a restore and backup even though that isn’t working for everybody.

Gonna try 14.6 beta 3 now. Restore seems like waste of time.
Yeah I hadn’t checked in today much but looks like that’s another option that recently became available. Ever since I downgraded I’ve just waited for a new update

I can't find the comment I was looking to respond to; although, yes, the battery life on iPhone 12 Pro Max on 14.5.1 is awful. My 12 Pro Max is essentially the iPhone 11 Pro with battery life (which isn't bad); however, at that point, I might as well should've went with the 12 Pro. . .

Strange one, it kind of is fixed and it kind of isn’t 🤦‍♂️😂
Programming is funny like that. It is possible that apple only partially fixed the issue. It is also possible that when I squished one bug, one more bug was born. Here is hope to b4 being the cure for this nightmare. Haha

I too can confirm that I am suffering this issue.

However I have to ask is anybody else having the issue whereby your screen will dim as if the phone is overheating even though it doesn’t feel overly warm and you aren’t doing anything particularly strenuous?

I have my screen set to 100% brightness with auto brightness disabled due to suffering from PWM headaches, I use a 100% white point reduction when I am in a dim room and this has been working well for me.
However recently I’ve noticed the screen will randomly just dim for no reason, then go bright again and then go dim again and it’s not the slow fade you get with auto brightness it’s the harsh drop you get when your phone is overheating. This morning it was just by scrolling Twitter which isn’t a particularly demanding task, however with this reduced performance I suspect it’s related.

Update to 14.6 public beta 3, if you’re still experiencing throttling after updating to 14.6, turn off your phone for 30 seconds or more and your throttling issues will be gone.

My phone had to restart once I deleted the beta profile, Geekbench multicore score went down straight away, turned my phone off for around 30 seconds, throttling hasn’t come back since 😊

Don‘t restart your phone once your scores are back to normal.

It’s my first time using Geekbench but these numbers are insanely low.
I don’t know what to do
