Mostly Working

• Contexts (window entries have slight colour glitches when Cmd-Tab is used, but works)
• Discord (App works fine but closing the app with x stops the window from re-opening, requiring a restart of the application, minimising works though)
• Firefox (No Offical support, cannot be downloaded from site using beta, audio/video issues with YouTube, unable to play Spotify, Hulu, Netflix, etc. Nightly version 79.0a1 (2020-06027) resolves video/audio playback issues. Intermittent glitching of YouTube onscreen graphics still present. Checkboxes do not work.)
• Forecast Bar (issues with the dark menu bar icons and Big Sur's dark menu bar in light mode)
• iStat Menus - Functions OK when in dark mode. In light mode the Big Sur menu bar appears to stay dark which causes the iStats font to be unreadable (dark text on dark background)
• Pathfinder (some pop-up windows wrong size)
• Private Internet Access (issues with the dark menu bar icons and Big Sur's dark menu bar in light mode)
• Resilio Sync (issues with the dark menu bar icons and Big Sur's dark menu bar in light mode)
• Trickster (some misaligned graphic)

You say Netbeans 12 is working, but as soon as I access a project properties dialog, the whole program hangs and all the widgets start blinking like crazy. I haven't been successful with any version of Netbeans on Big Sur.

I will give a list of software that is not working under Big Sur using Development Kit (Apple Silicon).

- Skype, opens but show nothing on the screen.
- WhatsApp, opens but automatically restart every single time.
- Firefox, crashes after open.
- Chrome, opens but you can't browse any page, it seem like there is not internet connection.
- Dropbox (Even Beta), Installer don't even works. It keeps a lot of processes running in the background, but do not finish the installation, the software do not syncs, and it consumes more than 90% running on 2 processors running in the background.
- Google Drive. Crashes after opens.

Works:
As expected all Apple apps: Pages, Numbers, Keynote, calendar, mail an so on.
- Unexpected but it works. All Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, OneDrive.
- ProPresenter 6
- Switcher Cast.
- Parallels Client (for Published Apps), I didn't tried yet Parallels Desktop for VMs or VMware.
- Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta, the new one with Published Apps. Particular here, I found that works better on Apple Silicon than MacBook Pro with Intel chip.

I will give a list of software that is not working under Big Sur using Development Kit (Apple Silicon).

If your list does not breach your confidentiality agreement with Apple, the progress of developers getting apps to work on Apple Silicon (either native or translated) is IMHO worth a separate thread. This thread should be kept to discussing apps working (or not) on Big Sur as we expect it to be released in a couple of months on Intel hardware.

VMWare Fusion vms start up with a "Not Enough Physical Memory" error even though there is ample memory allocated in settings (and worked prior to BS update)

Anyone had any issues with the Touch Bar on the MacBook Pro whilst using Big Sur? Most of it is working as it should but just noticed I tried to skip a song on Spotify using the Touch Bar and it won't recognise me pressing skip forward or back, the pause/play button or trying to scrub through a song.

I am facing this now. My touch bar is completely unresponsive, not responding to any touch whatsoever. Tried everything including multiple restarts, but the issue still persists.

It is updating like normal, just not responding to touches.

Works just fine on Bootcamp tho.

Filed an issue using the Feedback Assistant.

The latest Steam beta fixes game launchers crashing from hardlinking the cc++ dyld. I did not expect them to fix it instead of the individual developers so this was a crazy good surprise today!

The "Dropbox Webhelper" or "AdGuard Safari Extension" forces my MBP to switch to dedicated graphics on Beta 3.

I think everything was ok under Beta 2 so it should be more a Beta 3 problem.

Yes, something is definitely weird with Beta 3. For me "Spotify Helper" is causing MacOS to switch to dedicated graphics.

Google File Stream 41.0.2.0 is working with Beta 3 without any modifications or terminal commands. For those of you having a hard time updating, (uninstalling and re)installing any working google app like Chrome seems to force GoogleSoftwareUpdate.app to do its thing after giving the all clear in system pref->security->general->allow.

VNC Viewer still not working in ß4, but still works in the Chrome extension.
Blackmagic Speed Tester now works.
Geany Editor now appears to be working properly (could open a LaTeX file, showed proper syntax, get it compiled)
Firefox browser now shows banking webpage properly.

Update was a 3Gb file. Didn't take too long to update. Much of the preparation was done before rebooting, so I could do other things while it was preparing. Then a reboot, that sat there for several minutes, then a final reboot, and all is good.
