Old Dec 11, 2009, 10:34 PM the time stamp bug is still there. All the timestamps are the same time, sorry

ok, bug report noted. we will investigate. can you tell me what your settings are under 'Settings > General > Date & Time' and what

we made some changes in 2.3, let us know if that fixed it.. if not, will re-visit the issue.. hard to fix bugs we can't reproduce:)

hi JKB - timestamp bug still here along with other reports. It wasn't in the early versions of whatsapp. I've restored my phone - bug still there with the timestamps all the same. Any news on a fix?

Hi ppl,
I just purchased whatsapp today, the lates version 2.5.2 for my iPhone..
but somehow, its not working. I live in UAE, is it possible that it does not work for UAE iPhone users or something?
First of all, when I put in my cell no. it didnt ask me to put in any code, and directly asked me to edit or confirm my Name, where as, in my sister's iPhone they asked her to input a 3 digit code which she had received.

2ndly, in settings, in my network status it keeps on showing connecting..

3rdly in my chat tab, if i try to start a new chat, it says "sorry, we failed to register you with a chat server. Contact support?"

4thly, in my favorites tab it keeps on showing the sign of 'creating favorites' inspite of switching off the 'auto-favorite' option in settings.

and last of all, even in my sister's iPhone, whatsapp doesnt work, and shows the same 'connectin' sign in the network settings tab..and she isnt able to start a chat as well and gets the same error message if she tries to.!!

I have uninstalled and installed the application many times, but nothing seems to work.

Can anyone please help me with this? I would be really glad if anyone could help me solve this!

and yeah, my sis and I, we both use wi-fi..does that have anything to do with it?

I've ditched Whatsapp and moved to the new Hello! Messenger. Way nicer/faster imo and they say they will have better cross-platform support sooner.

Yes, depending on how fast the developer works to achieve the functionality WhatsApp currently has, I will probably switch over to Hello! as well.

Are there any plans to update the color theme within the app itself? I know you can put photographs as the background (which to me, is not something I use). But the tan background with the light green and white chat bubbles needs an update, IMO. Sad as it is to say, I'm thinking of switching to Hello! because of this (and because of future support for BB and Android users).

Hate to bump old threads, but I was wondering if the Whatsapp servers or whatever are down right now or something.

I was on it fine last night, did the recent available update, and now I'm having problems connecting. It's saying that there's a problem with my internet connection. I connect fine to everything else (Safari, Facebook, Echofon...), but can't to Whatsapp. I've tried resetting my phone, but no luck. I deleted/reinstalled the app and now I'm stuck at getting registered with the chat server.

Any help?

How do you guys like Whatsapp? Are there any delay receiving messages?

I downloaded it on the day I got my iPhone 4 and it's been brilliant for me. If you have an Internet connection (WiFi, 3G or Edge) then messages are delivered instantly. If you are not in the app then you get a notification similar to that of an SMS and when you then go in to the app the messages are downloaded so they can be viewed.

Nice...I really want it but I read it gets a ton of errors on blackberry (which my Fiance has). hope they get an update.

This app is amazing! I can't believe how fast messages are sent and received, I installed it on everyones iPhone in the house and it's blazing fast. I'd say it was faster than the default sms app.

I really wish Apple would have included an iPhone 2 iPhone messanger, perhaps someday?

If you don't have this app I suggest you get it!

My wife and I have been using WhatsApp for a few months and love it. We have not experienced any delays between us. It has been one of our best apps for the money.

Hi Levelut,

Sorry you are having problems -- SMS delivery can be very unreliable at times.. To complete verification of your number, please send SMS to +1 (408) 306-2615 *from* the mobile number you tried to register with for WhatsApp and type your email address ONLY inside of the SMS message. For example: bob@domain.com (our automated system will send you the code via email once we get your SMS)

and to make it simple for you, if you are reading this on the iPhone, just tap on the sms://+14083062615

if you don't get the code in 12 hours, be sure to check your Spam folder first and let us know if there is still no email.

Am I the only one who likes the app, but is hesitant to use it due to the PAINFULLY cheesy/corny name of the app? WhatsApp? Really?
