Got a preorder f2 att unlocked. Signal was crap tho returned the other day. If not for that I wouldn't be playing screen lottery it was good enough.
Along the way Had some Verizon by chance I was gonna sell or get to my parents but neither panned out so I opened both and displays were atrocious. Never even tested signal cause I couldn't bare to look at them
Got a sim free the other day and brighter and nicer tint than my f2 att but in some lighting (maybe car tint where it's most pronounced but other lighting too) I see red bias on the top portion. Not just bunny ears but what seems like more than I noticed before. The Qualcomm I need that much I know. But wearing thin on trips to store and ringing up my card
Luckily this f1 serial sim free is uniform tint shift, doesn't exhibit super finnicky off axis or running the blue up the panel

Shattered my att unlocked 7+ two days before x release and got screen replaced. It's legit perfect. Better than the screen that shipped with it.
And signal and speed aren't an issue but they were with my att X. My Qualcomm x gets better reception than 7+ but 7+ wasn't a problem in that dept. and it's JAILBROKEN. And I still have it and still tinker at home

Keep the 7+ and return the X. I finally went back to my 8 after 3 X all with different screen problems. It really isn't worth the hassle or the extra cash.
I get tempted now and then to try again, mostly because of seeing nice ones on here, but then desire fades and I realize there is nothing bad about the 8.
Think we need to establish if it’s uneven tinting of the screen in which case it’s Samsung’s fault or... uneven pressure or heat from internal components that’s causing uneven tint issues in certain issues.

This. With the X it seems to be the equivalent of trying to win the lottery. If I still had the 8 or even my 7 I would just keep it

I just returned my Space Grey iPhone X for a Silver iPhone X Sim Free. The display is flawless. Serial number starts with G0, which I haven't seen before in an iPhone.
If the intel one’s radio worked at my apt I wouldn’t be in hell
I dunno if it took a day for me to notice or develop but upper third had faint pink sim free
So far *knock on wood* this one doesn’t seem to have that.

Yes but it's due to true tone display that is on, make sure guys true tone is off.... I have it off and when its on its yellowish and when I tilt it gets brighter/whiter....
Just came back from the apple store and the guy saw the pink edges immediately and got my screen replaced. New one is perfect even at minimum brightness, but one side of the screen seems to be sticking out more than the other side from the phone, doesn’t bother me though since I use a case.
I hope the waterproofing is still working, should be though since it was repaired by apple

I thought I would get a new device, but they just replaced the screen on my phone. It looks better than any other phone I saw in the store though.
My week 47’s screen is the best I’ve had yet. Mine is a DNP serial. However, the cracking out of the speaker is the worst I’ve heard yet...so not sure what I should do at this point... :/ if it’s not one thing it’s another with this phone
In the same boat: I had to replace it due to bad reception on the Intel model. Qualcomm is significantly better! However, the first 2 Qualcomm phones had bad screens: the G6 had a very prominent pink stain, it was not even the whole edge of the screeen. It was sticking out like a sore thumb. After that I got an F1 and it was better, but it had a very strong pink tint that was visible even by tilting the phone 2 degrees of axis! It also had a hot pink edge on the right-hand side. Finally, I got the current one, DN, and the screen is amazing! It doesn’t change its tint/hue at all! It only gets slightly bluish when it’s a very extreme angle. No more pink edges/stains either.
I actually can’t believe how they all vary in terms of the screen quality. If these screens are indeed from one manufacturer, then the OLED technology is very inconsistent.
It’s not only about different tints, the vieing angles all vary greatly on these screens.
Oh, this is also the very first X that does not have any dust in the camera lenses! All the other ones that I replaced had different degrees of it. I didn’t even bother fixating on that lol

The verizon model that I have right now is week 47. Screen is perfect. The sim-free I ordered on 12/8/17, which shipped last night and getting it on Tuesday, is F2N, week 47 as well So I'm hoping the screen will be good. I've had some where there were pink banding on one side and it was annoying.
update on my screen replacement: the screen no longer works. The mute switch still causes a vibration and the phone still charges but the screen is completely black... really frustrating

Yes you can do a walk in but they will put you on their system and wait till they are available.

Just went back to the store today w/o appointment since I live close by, they gave me a replacement with new serial F2LV, the edges are slightly pink, but not as bad as the first one. I think I'll just stick with this one for now. At least the replacement was quick.
Really sucks if you don't live close to an apple store and don't have apple care. I guess apple's quality control just isn't as good now.
