EDIT: After reading through a lot of this thread, it seems like my screen is about as good as I can hope for without exchanging multiple times and I think I will just keep my device :) Worst case scenario I will have a reason to exchange it down the line with AppleCare.

I found a solution. If I change my wallpaper from a color heavy image to one of the new dynamic backgrounds which are primarily black, the screen tone becomes more white.

Did someone got a good iPhone X?
I got mine April 2 and three days later i've noticed the yellowish screen and starting to think about it.
I have read sooo many threads of this situation and the solution of changing the Hue doesn't seems right to me.
Previously i had the Note 8 and it was showing pink tint almost at the bottom of the phone, but that didn't take my attention.
I sold it and get the iPhone X, because of the iOS updates and stuff.

I have an iPhone X 64 GB Space Grey.
This things are calling my attention:

- The screen looks yellowish.
- The top edges seems to be pink, even at facing the phone.
- The contour of the phone seems pink a little.
- The bottom of the phone at the left side facing it, has a pink tint.
- If i move the phone backwards, it shows a "medium" pink tint.

I was like, "ok, i can live with it" but Yesterday i came to an Apple Store and comparing to the Demo unit guess what, mine is brighter at 100% brightness, but the Store's one definetely colors are more blue, wich i like. Setting the brightness to 20% on both, the store's one had a true white and mine yellowish.
I came to another carrier store and the same results.

One thing that i've noticed is...
Those store phones are the SILVER Model, and i've seen videos on YouTube, searching between comments and people says that the Space Grey Ones have this sort of problems, silver's don't.

I called the service people on the Apple Store explaining the situation but the guy can't see the pink tint and the yellowish screen. :( BTW he send a report to Apple, and they are gonna letting me know if my phone would be replaced or it's a "normal" thing on the phone.
I'm a little scared about getting a replacement...
Maybe getting a better panel... Maybe not.

Hoping more on a $1000 iPhone. :apple::(

Don't let haters here hate (you). If Apple refuses to acknowledge these defects, just return it and re-buy. You're in the return window still. Your screen sounds like complete trash. Pink edges when looking at the screen head on are unacceptable to me. Pink shift at slight angles is also not acceptable. There's nothing you can adjust in settings to make things better. It is a turd. For $1000 demand better. I sure as heck have, my screen only has slight blue shift at extreme angles and is perfect.

Model / color makes no difference. Factory makes no difference. It is total lottery.

Totally agree. Pink edges are unacceptable to me as well and those for me are automatic returns. I now have a perfect screen with no pink edges (even at every angles). No yellow tint either.

Thank you jlp, i had a conversation with a girl on the Apple website, and she told me to restore the phone, obviously no success. Transfered my problem to a "superior" office, they are calling me in two hours from now, she told me they are going to ask me if i want to change the phone or what want to do. Otherwise i'll tell the "superior" that i'm not happy with the device, for a refund or get another iX.

I was seeing the "notch" so rare and yesterday in the Apple Store i saw how the demo phone didn't have those pink edges in the notch, it's so annoying.

If we were to make a statistic, how many of you (iPX users) found these defects ??
One here, lol.
You guys are motivating me to return mine - lol

Also this 72 Pages and another ones at other forums make me to return it, it's not normal mine compared to the demo ones.

Also, i'm from Mexico. It's a Worlwide thing. lol

The fact that it is a total lottery means that it’s just a variation within spec.

Yeah I just don't have it in me to go through the lottery thing. I have a few days left in my 14 day return window and it's either I'm used to the pink by then (mine is really not all that bad compared to others I've seen) or I go with the 8+.

I would say about 2/3rds of the X devices I've seen in person have either significant pink hue or pink edges or both. I've really only seen 3 with near-perfect screens.

If you plan on holding onto the device and staring at it for a few years tho it’s prolyl worth the struggle right ?

That's the other side of it, for sure. One mitigating factor in my case is that I didn't buy it directly from Apple and I would have to pay a restocking fee.

Well, i'm waiting to Apple, the Apple Store sent a video to Apple, they are not seeing the Pink Screen
I also compared the iPhone right to the demo one and they don't see it.

Also i taked a picture. (Obviously mine is the pink one)

Lol!

It’s notnthat they don’t see it, it’s obvious, it’s that they don’t care and will declare it as “within spec”

Honestly it’s a double edged sword

Apple is AMAZING with returns within the return policy. Couldn’t be happier with them, even tho it should be 30 days not 14 :D

But post return policy. Especially for screen related issues: Best of luck!

Yes, i'm just waiting Apple for the response, if they are not going to change my device... I will tell the call center that i'm not happy with the phone.

wow that looks really bad :(

are you still able to just return the device?
I guess so.
I bought the phone Apr. 2, so the 15 Days are fine, i'm on time, the Apple guy told me that it will take 24-48 hours for Apple to answer me, well, today's the last day.

I'm confused, you're within the return window and have access to a local Apple store- why are you wasting time with phone support?? Especially since you say today is the last day to return? Unless I'm missing something, why can't you just return it ASAP in store? It's clear Apple isn't acknowledging your problem.

Return the phone and buy a new one. If you get a replacement that is not acceptable you lose this option and Apple can decide whether it is within spec and whether or not to replace again.

I’m so glad to be out of this rat race

To be honest it was hell with X. Absolute hell.

Luckily I gave up on 10.5 after a couple and tried a 12.9 and got a beauty right away and also realized I wanted 12.9 to switch it up more from my
9.7 but 2017 products seemed like a mishap on the screen front

I live in Mexico and the return policies you have are different i think, Apple says the Store guys need to send the report, thing i already have done. Today i will get that response from Apple.
The return time ends Apr. 17, i'll wait today and see what happens next to it.
Also i bought the phone with a Carrier wich told me the warranty is directly with Apple.

I'll check if i can do that because the reply above. Thanks bro.

Agreed. The next iPhone I buy (if I buy one) will be the upcoming 6.1" LCD (hopefully) iPhone. Unless it is gimped in order to differentiate from the OLED models, in which case I'll be done w/ iPhones. OLED needs to die. TVs too. I don't miss plasma and I sure as heck won't miss OLED.

I differ on that. Love my LG OLED and X

But still different tech. X is pentile AMOLED and LG TV panels are WOLED (white pixels)

Infinite blacks and the contrast is so great.

But X lottery is brutal. Especially for the price but even if not for that

That and jailbreak and price make me
Wanna hold onto this phone for a while

(Slapped a long 4 year warranty on my 65” OLED too, not replacing this tv for like a decade unless it breaks before then which is always a possibility with mass manufactured and especially new tech)

I hope microLED or whatever is worth the hype and a good
Mix of
The benefits of OLED and great LED Panels
