Pluto, can you give a short idea how that 'hit the guy unconscious' business worked out again?
Dwarven sarcasm at its best.
Dalo is lucky that Bart didn't pull Dalo's beard.

Yes, attack him (I've got your back buddy!) and Portia can disengage like a ninja next turn and be healed by one of us.
Don't kill the Count though!
I figure one full force attack won't kill him. Is beating someone into unconsciousness, or submission a provision in this game? If he keeps attacking me, besides taking it, is there another option other than taking the hit? Yes, I remember opportunity attacks, now that I've been reminded.![]()
I'll also be traveling to CES in the morning, coming home on Sunday, so I may be even slower to respond!
Did you survive the CES and did you get anything while you were there ?
Barely!
I didn't get anything, but I spent 2 days handing out Best of CES awards to a lot of cool products!
I heard two of those were stolen... eyes you suspiciously. Those Star Wars Drones are AWESOME! I also gave an award to a "smart" road bike which was pretty damned cool also. And Razer's Project Valerie was sick.

The thug laughs, the blood flowing freely from his shoulder. As he swings his -- his hammer? Did the thug have --
That question was wiped off Bartholomeo's mind as the head of the hammer speeds towards his face --

Bartholomeo has an AC of 17, and the thug has +4, so:
Thug: 17
It's a hit, so, and 1d8 + 2, so:
Thug: 3
5 hp of damage to Bartholomeo.

-- and dodged the warhammer just quick enough for it to miss his head, but it hit his shoulder with a crunch. Bartholomeo grimaced and prepared to retaliate.
And then screamed in horror, for in the corner of his eyes, he recognized -- he recognized her. But it wasn't her; couldn't be her. The dead eyes stared at him, her head swinging loosely on the top of her bloody torso as the legs carried it stumbling towards him.
@twietee you're up!
So Barty sees Tweetee as a girl, (haw) or is that Portia he sees?![]()

@All (Pluto): I'd like to attack Bart, after all I suspect him of taking a bit too much of my tobacco, but am I correct that this would eventually lead to an opportunity attack next turn when I want to heal Portia? So should I heal her now best?
Dalo didn't disengage this turn so he will be attacked and could fall next turn unless you help him with Bart. Theoretically as a rogue, Portia should be able to disengage (get away) after attacking the creature next turn. She also has one of the two healing potions (Syllin has the other) so she could disengage and drink the potion instead of attacking.
In any case, I would probably attack Bart this turn and risk an opportunity attack (you are at full health) next turn if you really need to heal someone. Bart is currently at 12 hit points and if you roll a 20 (critical) with good damage, you could bring him down.
D&D needs a deflect attack and heal the other person move.![]()

a) Attack the creature, use a disengage bonus action, and then move away from the creature (behind me ?).
