Pluto, can you give a short idea how that 'hit the guy unconscious' business worked out again?

Yes, attack him (I've got your back buddy! ;)) and Portia can disengage like a ninja next turn and be healed by one of us.

Don't kill the Count though!

I figure one full force attack won't kill him. Is beating someone into unconsciousness, or submission a provision in this game? If he keeps attacking me, besides taking it, is there another option other than taking the hit? Yes, I remember opportunity attacks, now that I've been reminded. ;)

Dunno. :D

But yes, I believe once s.o. reached ~1HP and you succesfully attack you can tell the GM, in advance, that you want to hit him/her unconsicous. But as I honestly said before: ask the experts about this. I'm pretty sure we've done sth. like that before when we took a goblin into our custody..

But yea, it'd be pretty good already if you even manage a scratch or two.. ;)

Barely!

I didn't get anything, but I spent 2 days handing out Best of CES awards to a lot of cool products!

What were some of the products there that you wished you owned ?

You didn't miss much in the game while you were gone. I missed as usual :) and @Huntn is waiting to see if @ravenvii rolls well and he knocks Bart out. After Delo is Veit's turn before we start a new combat turn with you.

Those Star Wars Drones are AWESOME! I also gave an award to a "smart" road bike which was pretty damned cool also. And Razer's Project Valerie was sick.

I heard two of those were stolen... eyes you suspiciously.

That question was wiped off Bartholomeo's mind as the head of the hammer speeds towards his face --

Bartholomeo has an AC of 17, and the thug has +4, so:

Thug: 17

It's a hit, so, and 1d8 + 2, so:

Thug: 3

5 hp of damage to Bartholomeo.

And then screamed in horror, for in the corner of his eyes, he recognized -- he recognized her. But it wasn't her; couldn't be her. The dead eyes stared at him, her head swinging loosely on the top of her bloody torso as the legs carried it stumbling towards him.

@twietee you're up!

So Barty sees Tweetee as a girl, (haw) or is that Portia he sees? ;)

I think he imagines his dead wife.

Are we sure Bart didn't just drink one too many?

On the other hand: in movies it basically always works to just call out those hallucinating and turning against their best friends and appeal to his better inner self...but we're not in a movie but real life after all so I guess that is no option.

I heard two of those were stolen... eyes you suspiciously.

Ninja-thievin' during the awards-ceremony? Pretty impressive.

@All (Pluto): I'd like to attack Bart, after all I suspect him of taking a bit too much of my tobacco, but am I correct that this would eventually lead to an opportunity attack next turn when I want to heal Portia? So should I heal her now best?

Dalo didn't disengage this turn so he will be attacked and could fall next turn unless you help him with Bart. Theoretically as a rogue, Portia should be able to disengage (get away) after attacking the creature next turn. She also has one of the two healing potions (Syllin has the other) so she could disengage and drink the potion instead of attacking.

In any case, I would probably attack Bart this turn and risk an opportunity attack (you are at full health) next turn if you really need to heal someone. Bart is currently at 12 hit points and if you roll a 20 (critical) with good damage, you could bring him down.

@ravenvii, Portia is wearing the second pair of studded leather armor we took from the Redbrands so she is AC 15 on future rolls against her.

At the end of the round, can you give us a description of the level of wounds the creature has suffered (barely scratched to mortally wounded).

She stares at Bartholomeo with those beautiful, dead eyes as she jerks the warhammer at him -- her too? She has a warhammer? This doesn't make --

Nope.

-- Bartholomeo dodged as the undead woman stumbles forwards from the momentum of the warhammer. Bartholomeo is screaming silently with horror and agony. How is this possible?

@Moyank24 your turn!

Portia (@Moyank24), you have a few actions you can take. In a typical combat turn, you get a standard action (an attack, a spell, drinking a potion, using a skill, etc.), a possible bonus action, and a move action.

As an awesome second level rogue, you get to use one of three bonus actions each combat turn on top of your normal action and move. These bonus actions are dash, disengage, or hide.

dash: Double move.
disengage: You can move in melee combat without getting an opportunity attack against you.
hide: Make a stealth check to attempt to hide.

I would recommend either:

a) Attack the creature, use a disengage bonus action, and then move away from the creature (behind me ?).
b) Use a disengage bonus action, move away from the creature (behind me?) and drink your healing potion.

I'm only giving those recommendations as two of many. There is no correct answer.

hmm, raven must have missed my post #2720

and @Moyank24 , I suggest after attacking you move behind Pluto somewhat near to us dwarfes. I think using a healing spell may be better than using your portion for now (possibly saving it for later). But I guess we're all pretty close to each other anyway.
