Posting mine, and running the risk someone tells me my panel is actually crap lol. Brighter tho, and even more so in real life.

Hey I've noticed that on the 10.5 there seems to be a faint darkish colored line down the side of your screen, and that's the exact same issue I'm having accept it's along the bottom of the screen above the home button maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch in thickness basically it's almost exactly the same size as you're in terms of thickness but it's along the bottom rather than the side, and anytime I'm viewing something on the internet or anything with a light color I notice the yellowish, and somewhat faint darkish black color, and I've been debating doing an exchange at my local target store, however I've got 30'days from the purchase it's been a little over a week, and I'm just waiting until they get a new shipment in stock, and this way hopefully the newer batch of rose gold panels won't have this issue.

I don’t see any such line in the picture or the device in real life

Just look at the picture, and run your eyes along the right side of the iPad 10.5 screen, and it's essentially a darkened strip that runs along the entire side, however it's faint as it's not actually black but rather just a darkened area as if for an example about 1/4 of an inch wide from the edge all the way from the top to the bottom it's almost as if that area of the screen isn't as bright as the rest of the screen which gives the illusion of a darkish hue as that's the best way I can describe it, and it's definitely visible in the picture no doubt at least for me.

I have used the editing tool for iPad photos, and I've drawn a circle around the area I was referencing, and hopefully that helps

Unfortunately, that's very common. Can be on any side of the device. Very annoying when on your left whites are nice and bright, and to the right they are dim. This is one of the reasons I've returned so many iPad Pros. I can't work on a white canvas and draw with that type of distraction and distortion.

Yea I agree it's totally distracting as you can't help but to notice it, and at roughly $700.00 dollars for the 64g iPad Pro 10.5 that's not acceptable as I'll be exchanging mine once target gets a new batch of them in stock as I continually check the store inventory on the website, and I've found one in my area that's got a rose gold 64gb in stock but I'm gonna wait until my original store gets a new one in stock fresh shipment so hopefully the newer batch might be improved as the faint darkish line I've got as well but it's along the bottom edge of the display, and not just that but my screen is also not properly centered where the black gap in between the display, and the bezels that's noticeable with the white iPads isn't lined up properly as it's got a much thicker gap on the right side of my screen vs the left where it's skinny, and narrow while the right side it's noticeable to the point I can't ignore it, and these things may seem like petty issues to those who haven't got an iPad Pro 10.5 but for all those such as myself who've got one it's simply unacceptable at this price range, and while this is my first ever iPad that doesn't mean I've not experienced these issues before as I've had numerous iPhones as the 3GS was my first ever smart device, and I had to return that 5 or 6 times before I got an acceptable screen in terms of proper colors, temperature, and alignment, and then with the iPhone 7 plus I was fortunate as we ordered one silver, and one rose gold, and it was a miracle as both phones were nearly perfect in terms of their displays, and I'm just a little annoyed with the new iPad Pro 10.5 as I originally had the 9.7 iPad Pro but I exchanged it two days later for the newer vastly superior 10.5 inch, and while the performance, and the overall power of the newer iPad 10.5 is definitely vastly superior the truth is though the 9.7 had louder speakers, and also a much brighter, and nearly perfect display as it had none of the issues I've got with the 10.5 even though this ones supposed to have superior speaker n sound quality as well as superior brightness levels but like I said I believe I've got a defective unit as the display issues and the speaker n sound quality as well as the lower screen brightness, and overall contrast is disappointing as it's definitely supposed to be better in all aspects over the 9.7, and I'm sure it is but as luck would have it we all know as great as Apple devices are they've still got the lottery problem lol but it's whatever no big deal I'll wait for the new batch to come in stock at my local store, and I'll then swing over, and grab me a brand new replacement, and I'm confident the new one will be perfect

I didn’t see it and tbh must be the pic then as iPad is nice and bright all over. No shift when rotated and checked with different coloured blank screens when I got it. I’m happy.

my 10.5 has no yellow band. serial starts with dmp. other 12.9 - no issues.

both purchased early and mid august. 256gb. wifi. space grey.

I received a 10.5 open box from Best Buy a week and a half ago, and it had a warm band across the bottom in portrait. I returned the 10.5 and bought a new 10.5 from Costco a couple of days ago. The screen is excellent.

That's most likely why it was an open box item as someone else most likely purchased it noticed the warmish yellow banding at the bottom, and returned it, and instead of telling bestbuy it was defective he simply said he wasn't happy with it, and or possibly he told them of the warm yellow band, however Best Buy figured they would just sell it as open box, and hope the next person didn't return it lol either way at the cost these things better have perfect displays or their getting returned

You're probably right. I ordered it, hoping that someone had buyer's remorse and simply returned it, but it wasn't to be. Having received that one makes me appreciate this one.

whats the production week of the good one?

I got my new iPad Pro 12.9 today and this is how the screen looks like. I have this „pinkish“ warm bottom when in portrait mode or on the left side when in upright position. It is noticable when reading especially because my previous screen was near perfect (old iPad Pro 12.9). What do you guys think?

Serial starts with DLX..

Yikes looks ugly!

My 12.9 gen 2 DLX doesn't have this at all,

Someone should create a 12.9 gen2 screen issue thread though since this is 10.5

(I would except I'm not privy to 12.9 faults tho I can fully believe its prone to it; I lucked out first time, phewww)

The picture looks a bit worse than it actually is. Here is a picture of my previous iPad Pro with the perfect screen for me. Unfortunately this screen makes cracking noises when touching i just a little too hard.

To me, that looks just as bad on the left side.....

How to find the manufacturing date of ipad pro 10.5 ??

There is some good batch then other?

Had an iPad Pro 10.5 on release day. The volume down button didn't work right, the screen gave me a headache, screen wasn't very sharp compared to my air 2 and the bottom right color was a little off. Returned it and waited a few months. Just got my new one in from b&h and its great! No screen issues or headaches and the volume down works as it should!
