I had no choice because this is the only way that I can spend my earnings stuck in the account of a public laboratory...Is there a reason why some of you prefer to buy through official resellers instead of the online/offline Apple store?
On my side, I ordered it via an educational portal, for which Apple product purchases are processed through the given official reseller (DQ solutions). There was one full week window at the end of October with 12% discount on all the purchases. That's the only reason I bought through it.Is there a reason why some of you prefer to buy through official resellers instead of the online/offline Apple store?
Because there is no online or offline Apple Store in our EU countries, only authorized resellers. Is there a reason why some of you prefer to buy through official resellers instead of the online/offline Apple store?

Congrats buddy!!! How does the beast behave? It arrived today . Ordered Dec 2nd, 16 M1 Pro Base with 1TB storage!
Hopefully yours arrive soon too!
It is honestly incredible! I've had the 15" 2018 maxed out and this 'base model' outruns it so easily.Congrats buddy!!! How does the beast behave?
I was ordering on Oct. 29, also from istores.sk, and yeah, no info about it yet. It was 16' Max 32GB 1TB. So I guess they will not arrive before x-mass. I am a bit disappointed.Reseller order (Slovakia) on November 6th, 16” M1 Max 24c 32GB 512GB, absolutely no info except that it may take somewhere between 4-6 weeks, which has elapsed today. They do not have any info. I for sure know this is the last time I have been ordering from Reseller. Hopefully they will arrive next week.
Well, there goes my hope to have it before Christmas. Did they tell you the delivery would take somewhere between 4 to 6 weeks?I was ordering on Oct. 29, also from istores.sk, and yeah, no info about it yet. It was 16' Max 32GB 1TB. It's a beast! Glad at least some are having their machines already! Did you migrate through the Migration Assistant using the TB cable? Were there any issues during the process? (Intel -> M1). Thanks! and Happy Holidays! It is honestly incredible! I've had the 15" 2018 maxed out and this 'base model' outruns it so easily.
It's super snappy, the keyboard is a major improvement and the screen is really beautiful. I've always loved the 15" but compare these side by side and it suddenly feels so outdated. View attachment 1931409
Asked today about it, reply was that 8+ weeks to deliver. Middle of January, maybe..sadWell, there goes my hope to have it before Christmas. Did they tell you the delivery would take somewhere between 4 to 6 weeks?
I've contacted them in early December about status, and I was told the same crap again, 4-6 weeks no tracking possible. The lack of updates and absolutely no info makes it the worst shopping experience I had in years.
I should have ordered it in Czechia. A Colleague of mine, who ordered around the same date as I did (although not through the reseller but via apple.cz) have the machine for 14 days already.
Thanks for asking, well that's nuts.Asked today about it, reply was that 8+ weeks to deliver. Middle of January, maybe..sad
What is you Country mate?It arrived today . Ordered Dec 2nd, 16 M1 Pro Base with 1TB storage!

Pfff..February.I ordered my 16” M1 Max 32Gb 1Tb from a premium reseller on the 29th October but cancelled the order yesterday after speaking to them. They said they have had zero 16” in stock so far and it could be February or beyond now. I am back to square one and going to try and get one elsewhere.
Uff, when looking at Apple.cz delivery window its Feb 3rd - Feb 10th, the question I'm asking myself is - will the reseller really be able to fullfill the order before February?I ordered my 16” M1 Max 32Gb 1Tb from a premium reseller on the 29th October but cancelled the order yesterday after speaking to them. They didn’t say much but they said they don’t have an ETA or a queueing system. I suspect the orders will be fulfilled by their own first come first served system when they have stock in their own warehouse, I don’t think we will see free stock for quite a while. I am frustrated with myself as when I placed my order on the 29th October the Apple site was saying delivery 30th November - 3rd December. I only ordered from them to save £150, wish I hadn’t now. You live and learn!Uff, when looking at Apple.cz delivery window its Feb 3rd - Feb 10th, the question I'm asking myself is - will the reseller really be able to fullfill the order before February?
Anyway did not they say any specifics, what's the reason? I'm asking because the notebooks of the same specs has already been delivered to some guys over the world - even the ones that has been ordered couple of weeks after your's or mine order date, which is weird, don't do have any sort of queue by which they do process the orders?
Sorry just see this now. Yes I migrated parts over with the Migration Assistant. No issues at all, but do know that the USB-C cable isn't a Thunderbolt cable so speeds are not too high. It's a beast! At least here in the Netherlands, it's often possible to save €150 or more that way. Discounts on the new MBPs haven't reached that level but by the middle of next year they will.Is there a reason why some of you prefer to buy through official resellers instead of the online/offline Apple store?
Exactly, I saved roughly ~260 EUR off stock price, well worth it.At least here in the Netherlands, it's often possible to save €150 or more that way. Discounts on the new MBPs haven't reached that level but by the middle of next year they will.
