Well, I predict that AT&T is going to modify its unlimited plan offerings AGAIN over the next several weeks/months. I don't know why they can't get this right...it's not that complicated.
What they should've done today was made the features of the previous unlimited plan available at the new Unlimited Choice plan price. They should've made hotspot the only differentiating factor between the two unlimited plans.
The throttling nonsense on the Unlimited Choice plan is crazy. I predict that the throttling will go away on the Choice plan sooner rather than later due to lack of interest in a plan with such an arbitrary restriction. There are plenty of people who don't want or need hotspot. They should still be able to access high-speed data on their devices, though -- just like AT&T was offering until this morning.
Also, for simplicity, they should really offer only one unlimited plan and make 10 GB of hotspot data an available add-on feature for those who want it.
[doublepost=1488481062][/doublepost]It's interesting to note that on their website, at least, AT&T now "recommends" the Unlimited Plus plan when I go to change my plan. Previously, it recommended the MSA 10 GB plan. We currently have the MSV 3 GB plan with 3 GB of bonus data.
Considering that the Unlimited Plus plan would almost double what we pay every month and we only use ~3 GB of data per month anyway, I'll have to say "no thanks" on that recommendation, AT&T.
