How to fix possibly?

I woke up this morning to see my argument finally realized, that it was so confusing that Apple had to literally make changes to their advertising.

I watched the Keynote originally and the way Stevey made it sound, is that everything happens instantly.. He said it over and over and showed us over and over how fast it changed.

How to fix this

Could there be a way to make a script that watches for your iCal or AddressBook's last modified date on their database and then automatically run the "synchronize now" command? Seems like it should be easy to write... (thinking)

No, unfortuantely it proves that some of you that have comprehension issues need an excessive amount of hand-holding and coddling.

Just because the "majority" here on Macrumors mis-understood doesn't mean Apple was wrong or purposely tried to mislead you. The majority of people in America also believe in superstitions and fairy tales (a.k.a. Christianity) and tend to follow the rest of the mindless herd when voting in politics. So it's no surprise that people here read into things how they want to instead of how they actual are; and are now jumping on the "Down with Apple" bandwagon.

If you are still defending Apple, it is you who are the sheep.

As for your post, it is grossly irresponsible, and offensive. This is not a political forum.

Apple messed up, and we all know it. I have been an Apple nut for years, and spend thousands of dollars on their products. I encourage people to buy their stuff all the time, but this is plain wrong. Many people here would simply like Apple to put up some sort of explanation and acknowledge the issue, which they still have not done. It is very unprofessional.

Why are people trying to fix this? We're not beta testers. Something has gone horribly wrong with their MobileMe service and Apple needs to notify its users with some message/forecast.

You would think it would be an easy fix, but I guess not. Maybe by the time Snow Leopard hits next year since it is supposed to support Exchange Push.

Spot on.

What annoys me most is that Apple has such an amazing high-flying public relations image - born out of the hype, secrecy and coolness of its products that it can afford to just flat-out ignore people's complaints as if they're not being made, to which I'm sure it will do once again...

I just sent the MobileMe department a complaint. Maybe if enough people do that we will get some sort of response from Apple, like with the iPhone $200 price drop (although I actually wasn't that upset about it because I got exactly what I paid for and expected to receive, unlike this).

I am near certain this can be fixed pretty easy by them and WILL be fixed by them. Because having millions of computers check and synchronize every 15 minutes causes a lot of load on their servers. It would be far less overhead to use "push" technology because then it only happens when it happens. 99% of people who have the service probably don't make a change but a couple times a day if at all.

Although, with them changing their advertising now, I am starting to think they won't fix it.

i sent an email to s.jobs@apple.com, to tell him i think MMe is crap at this point.

you are correct though, lets make a lot of noise about this and maybe something will be done!

I just sent him one as well. Who knows, maybe we will hear something by the end of the week.

On a side note, my iDisk storage was just upgraded to 20 gigs, so that is great! I am currently trying to send my iPhoto library up to the "cloud" for backup purposes, and I think it might take two days being that it is 10 gigs. Should be interesting to see if the upload ever completes.

I just sent Steve Jobs an email myself and got this auto reply:

Dear valued customer,

Your email is important to me. I'm away right now, but as soon as my assistant manually syncs from my Mac, I should get this delivered to my iPhone. I will respond ASAP.

Love,

Steve

Christianity to some people is not a fairy tale, nor superstition. Please try to keep comments like that to yourself. We are discussing Apple not faith and I don't think it's in good taste to mock a belief that other people may choose to live their lives by.

I walked into the Apple store this morning and everybody I spoke to including regular sales team, Geniuses, and managers seemed to be aware of the problem and informed me that it is being discussed by Apple as we speak.
I know not much will come of it, but this goes to show how many people have already complained and are unhappy with Apples farce!

Snow leopard will clear everything up. We only need to wait a year...

I own a 3 year old iMac G5 - the last model before the Intel switch.

I want what was effectively advertised - complete push support - and am never going to get it...

While I agree that by the time Snow Leopard hits all will be fixed, that doesn't mean a fix isn't coming, especially given the outrage. Don't jump to conclusion just yet.

They are back up. Sorry. Here, I attached it for you. Everyone WRITE APPLE and tell them how you feel!!!!!!

Hey, why not post the same thing a few more times? You know, just to clog the thread up a bit more.
