As a resident of Texas, I can say I will probably NOT benefit from the whole "using with gloves on" feature....;)

So nobody ever goes to a cold area? Even if you don't I think most people do or already live in an area with some cold weather.

I also know some people work with gloves on, some athletes wear gloves, etc. now they can use their phone without taking them off

They glossed over one of the best accessories for this device.

S-View Flip Cover. They finally added iPad-like Smart Cover technology to it!

I was really hoping that the smart cover would have its own tough display. I realize thats a little down the road though (at least a couple years). Definitely would have a negative affect on the battery. Oh well, a guy can dream right?

Looks like the U.S. version will be getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip.

So no-one pays attention to my post that covered this ;-)

Yes the US gets the Snapdragon 600 version. international is the Exynos 5.

So actually the US could be getting the better deal here if the benchmarks are anything to go by.

Knew it! :D

Enjoy your gimped hardware, America! I'll be getting my hands on the quad core A15

Hardly gimped, the benchmarks are showing the Snapdragon 600 SGS4 is getting better results.

Quadrant for example = 11,500 compared to 8,100 with Exynos.

Will be to do with their LTE bands.

Couldn't give a flying ******* about LTE cos coverage is non existent and far too expensive in the UK.

Yeah LTE won't be relevant in the UK for a good year or two yet. When Three gets their LTE set up with decent coverage that'll be awesome though, their prices will be very similar to their 3G plans or so I hear. Either way once networks other than EE get LTE the pricing will be far more reasonable, we just need to wait for the competition to step up.

All our S4's will be LTE capable anyway though, we just get a better CPU too :D

Benchmarks don't really matter, what matters is how well the handset actually performs and I'm quite sure the quad core A15 will give better performance for high power tasks in real world usage.

Was the benchmark app even using the quad core A15 or was it using the low power CPU? AFAIK the A15 isn't activated unless it's needed, else the low power CPU is used.

By the time LTE is relevant then - you will have forgotten the SGS4 and be looking at SGS5 or 6.

Again your assertion of better CPU certainly isn't affirmative yet by any means.

If a benchmark is pushing the CPU to test its power then yes it will be running the faster version / set of cores.

And you cant ignore the lag that is clearly seen in the hands-on videos posted so for in general operation with Touchwiz etc...

Most people get these things on two year contracts, they may very well get to use the LTE capabilities. It'll make sure it has a good resale value if nothing else.

I watched all those videos and didn't see any lag, but then it's running pre-release software so I don't see why that matters either way.

The fact remains benchmarks aren't the be all and end all of performance, I reckon an A15 will be faster than an old Snapdragon chip from last year.

Besides, the Samsung chip shows significantly better results in actual usage tests such as browser and javascript benchmarks.

I am a Nexus fan myself. But will admit the new S4 is a sweet phone. I like how its actually smaller than the S3, but with a larger screen, and crazy thin and still packing a large 2600mAh battery.

The S4 design seems like a more mature, and nicer S3, just polished and better looking, but still a Galaxy phone. And at 7.9mm thin, wow

I can't wait to read reviews on battery life, should be really good, with the new efficient hardware. Lets what CM10.1 ROM's do on this phone.

Is tempting for me, but still pretty happy with my Nexus 4 on Straight Talk-AT&T. Will wait for the Nexus-Five before I decide.
