So... when are those backordered wireless chargers from Samsung shipping? I'm in no rush as I have some already, but just wondering. Anyone who got the buy one get one free deal get any word yet on their order?

I just for this one and love it! The light is just a small little blue light on the bottom now. The biggest complaint I had with last model was how big and bright the blue/green light was. Now its very small and discreet.

Q. How fast is the fast wireless chargers ? My samsung one is very slow (up to 4 hours to charge) but tbh as its on my nightstand near the bed and it has therefore all night to charge I don't really mind it being slow - I don't have to charge my S7e during the day so not a real major bug bear at all. Not sure its worth plopping down another €60 to get a faster one.

edit ... also am I quite mad that I am also thinking the iPhone SE (now essentially confirmed as a 6s) is looking like a nice little phone to add to the ever growing and changing collection ... Seriously i'm becoming like Imelda Marcos of phones

You have to make sure to use a fast charger when as well. I made that mistake when I first. But I used a fast charger from the wall outlet to the wireless charger and it made a big difference.

Oh didn't think of that. Will give that a go and see if it speeds up charging on it. :)

I'll provide my feedback once Samsung decides to start shipping them.

Either way, the quick charge method via plug is probably going to be the fastest and best way to juice up quickly. I'd be happy if fast wireless charging is anywhere as fast as quick charge via wire.

But even if not, wireless charging is more to either top off your device when it's idle, or as you've described, an over-the-night charge where you just drop it off and forget about it.

It is nothing more than a 5S. The only change was to the CPU/GPU and rear camera. The shell, RAM, storage, front camera, touch ID, screen/display are the exact same as the 5S.

Yup, Apple only included the same CPU, RAM (you're incorrect--see front page of MR), and camera module as their latest release (arguable 3 of the most important elements of the device), a phone 2 years younger than the 5S. Oh, and it also includes Apple Pay, something else the 5S didn't have (I haven't seen confirmation that it's the same TouchID as the 5S--link please). But really, it's just a 5S.

It has 2gb ram. The 5S had 1gb.

It has 12 mega pixel camera capable of 4k recording. The 5s had a 8mp camera

It has the A9 chip same as 6S running at same speed.

It has Apple Pay

It's a very nice all round decent small handset.

OT.

So got my Gear VR. It's great. Device sure gets warm inside it and battery drops super fast. But love Netflix in it :)

That being said I have installed an os update as well since getting it so that might also battery drop.

Have noticed since the update the keyboard is more responsive and general ui animations feel snappier / smoother.

Any Tmobile users get any confirmation for their Gear VR/Netflix codes yet?

I'm really looking forward to trying out VR.

Most consumers will see a tiny difference, if any, between this and the 5S. People, me included, don't generally see the differences when the upgrades are internal. My personal prediction, it's not going to sell.
I feel that interest in the iPhone has gone down quite a lot recently. Time will tell, but I predict that the iPhone is going to go out of fashion in a couple of years, unless they capture a wider audience.

I disagree...Apple says they sold 30 million 4" phones last year--that's not insignificant. This has more colors and is cheaper than the 5S was previously, all with those new internals. It won't be a huge blockbuster but I wager it's sell more than any other smartphone not named Galaxy S7.

Same here guys, got my approval email and my Netflix code just now. Quicker than I thought. :D

So I got about 10 months of free $11.99 4 screens and 4K service. NICE.

Yup, got mine too! Though mine is shipping on the 18th.

Loving these promotions, so far I have received free Bluetooth ear buds, free vr, free netflix, free $30 bestbuy gift card, and free oculus games! Plus this week I should get my free S7 Edge (Bogo offer, but they didn't have anymore in Stock at the time), which could possible get me another year of netflix and vr!

For once, being an early adopter seems to be paying off.

And this side of the Atlantic .... We get sweet fa & have to pay more for the privilege ... The joys :(

Got my Netflix code too. :D

I hope they don't use UPS to ship the VR. I had an issue with my local UPS facility and they won't deliver to my house any more.
