I believe that is a yes, but there should be no trouble bringing a device from a different country and using it in one with android pay. I wager it is like Apple Pay

Well, I'll get to compare them first hand soon---broke down and bought a Nexus 6P to get my Android fix...been too long since I've spend significant time using it. :D

I'm using it alongside iPhone SE. For me, the perfect phone size is iPhone 6S, but I can go as small as iPhone SE and as big as flat S7.

Oh cool, how do you like the SE so far? Is it as powerful as 6S in a small frame?

NICE! Report back and lets us know how it is going :)

Love the size and battery life. Performance wise its as powerful as 6S. Great little device.

Surprised on the battery life. I didn't expect something small to have decent life because of the specs tbh.
[doublepost=1461357691][/doublepost]Just got an eBay Tempered Glass screen protector and it makes registering my taps on the screen worse. Not a good one for the Edge either. Looks like those plastic ones are the best we can get.

I don't understand why Samsung Pay being activated or not has anything to do with whether a phone is unlocked or not. Apple didn't have any problems only activating Apple Pay based on territory---why can't Samsung do the same?
They do with FaceTime, FaceTime is not available in some ME countries on IPhones,it does not magically re-appear once your in the USA, it's gone forever.

There's a bit more to Samsung pay than meets the eye re security, fraud etc we will understand more when it's released in UK on unlocked phones

Just thought I'd report back on the update that I got whilst our of the country now that I am home.

Not much is new other than security patch and the implementation of the condensed view option.

However ...... not all is peachy. It seems edge detection / sensitivity is ramped up and accidental edge rejection is on the floor. I am having a desperate time since typing on the keyboard or merely interacting with content on my device even when the phone is ever so gently cupped.

Hopefully they fix this soon as it's an absolute pain tbh.

That took some time, we thought you would get the update sooner.

I noticed a particular problem say with the 1 character on the very edge but thought this was more to do with the condensed view than the patch, will swap to normal mode to see if other sensitivity issues disappear

Anybody ever got the Samsung s7 via monthly payments on Samsung official website on their upgrade every 12 months scheme? Thinking of doing that as it's 27 a month which is manageable and can upgrade each year.

Tempted to get the s7 edge via this option

Well i noticed the update notice last week, but was walking the Camino De Santiago Compostela, so very patchy wifi in the evenings and restricted data due to roaming during the day, so couldn't actually accept and download till I came home.

Yeah I've swapped back and forth between condensed and normal and doesn't seem to improve - and yeah its more on the very edge keyboard keys that it struggles after the update to detect.

Yup, in good lighting they're pretty indistinguishable. In low lighting though, the S7 really pulls ahead.

BTW, how are you liking the SE? I ended up going back to the regular 6S, the SE was just too small too for me (typing was so frustrating) and I find the 6S to be small enough to still fill in my need for a smaller easier to handle phone.

Yeah the s7 sensor does handle low light much better but it's nice to see Apple's little handset hold its own in regular light.

I'm finding it ok so far as size goes. Keyboard is small but I'm making far less mistakes on it than on my S7e which is a genuine surprise. I still find the 6S+ far easier to type on though.

As far as one handed use goes though the SE is a little star and battery life has been very good so far.

My only gripe with the SE is that outdoor visibility isn't anywhere near as good as the 6S/6S+ or last number of Samsung handsets.

As much as I like the S7 Edge, decided to part ways. Nexus 5X bound. I'll still read posts here though.

The SE and the S7e make a nice combo. I'm getting great battery from the SE (3hrs 45 SOT so far today and 53% remaining) ... I get 5-6.5 hours with my S7e

If you carry around two phones the contrast between a big and small instead of carrying two big phablets is noticeable.

I'm now wondering shall I switch to the S7 instead of S7e ?

Me too, sold it but I am now using the Note 5 on T-MOBILE with MM. The display with the edges just were not doing it for me playing games and watching videos.

Yeah the screen protector situation is irritating me and the recent keyboard miss typing issue after last update. Hence I think I may go S7 or switch to the HTC 10 ....

I did that last year with the S6E I swapped to the S6 after 3 months more for the duos but also the edge brought nothing to the party IMO

The S7E is different this year in size (good for us glasses wearers) and the edge has functions that are useable. Unfortunately for me the days of small screens have passed me bye :)

Yeah I'll probably regret it if I did swap ... I do love the aesthetics and battery life of my S7e, but the frequent mistyping and accidental presses along with difficulty getting a decent screen protector are frustrating me.

Well I reverted back to std resolution and the KB for WhatsApp and msg's is a lot better the left hand side that I seem to use most as is not wrapping as much for me

I also started using the SView case so accidental presses are rare but I also found this to a lessor degree with the clear back case too.

I have a film type protector front and back that's fine do not know the make as it's just fitted by a shop here, but defiantly not trying any more glass ones

It's an issue that plagues the S7 Edge for sure. It was bad w/ the "tempered glass" protector I used on the S7 Edge. I hope Samsung takes care of the issue soon.

And just like that, I managed to find another deal for $500. Now, to find a taker for my Nexus 5X. Maybe could make a profit off it too. Now I reached my comfort price range.

Funny. I do the exact same thing, but the size difference doesn't bother me. I use the SE for BT connections with my work truck and it fits nicely with a vent clip compared to the S7e.

Switched out of condensed view and keyboard input seems improved.

Seems then new update that introduced condensed officially broke input that the unofficial solution did not suffer from. Strange.
