Well I have come back to the 6S+ and returned the S7E.

I summed it up in cohesion with your comments here that I was fitting my life to the S7E versus the other way around with how my other devices are integrated into my world.

The S7E is easily the best smartphone hardware wise that I have possibly ever used as everything about it was perfect for me. The camera was insanely great. Beautiful screen. Thin form factor for a big screen. All of it is a knockout package.

Where it lacked for me was the OS. iOS fits better into my world with an AW, Macbook pro, Mac desktop, and an AppleTV.

Android has made leaps and bounds from the last time I used it and TW on the Samsung device was very good and a pleasurable experience. I just feel like it was a little off and clunky for an overall liking of what I wanted.

First day back on the iPhone and it felt more natural with what I wanted to do.

Sorry for the long, lame story of my adventure but wanted to share my thoughts. :)
You do whats best for your needs at the end of the day.

6s plus is still a great phone at the end of the day and I get the whole OS thing.

I havn't used my 6s plus hardly at all lately due to my S7 edge and as I also have an apple watch I feel the same in a sense that I need to use it but for now i've been rocking with the edge and the gear s2

I love this forum and the biggest positive about it is real world feedback when you can filter through the haters of certain products or brands and get down to the people that see this isn't some kind of popularity contests but tech enthusiasts helping each other with honest tech feedback.

It was so hard to turn in that beautiful silver titanium device and going back to this bigger, larger bezel, dimmer display but the moment I signed back into iOS I got that "I am home" feeling lol.

LOL that is how I feel when I switch back to iPhone from android and vice versa! :) My problem is I get that feeling both ways! :)

So very similar to my experience trying out the Nexus 6P before I switched back about a week ago. The 6P was a very nice piece of hardware--not quite S7e quality but still very good. It's no secret that Android offers greater flexibility than iOS but when it just came down to using the phone, it felt more like I was making an effort to get it to fit my preferred workflow, swimming upstream a bit. Other than the fingerprint scanner (I seriously dislike the rear panel implementation), there is nothing significant, just the collection of lots of little things. And in a vacuum, the phones are very comparable but in an Apple household, the ecosystem advantages are very real...leaving behind things like Handoff/Continuity, AirDrop and the added functionality of the Apple Watch are huge compromises for me personally. To be honest, if Android Wear (Huawei Watch) worked a bit better, it would've been a more difficult decision.

Just use what you like, plain and simple.

There's nothing wrong appreciating or acknowledging whats good in other devices, it doesn't mean they are therefore better for you.

As I've said on this fora many times before, the grass isn't always greener, it's often just slightly different glass in a slightly different field. :)

Heads up never had a protective screen cover on my iPhone and never had scratches, three months after S7 w/ S view cover and I have many scratches. Obviously glass is not equal to iPhone. Lucky for me Samsung protection plus let's you buy insurance up to 365 days after purchase.

For me after using this s7 edge i'm finding it hard going back to the iphone's screen...just feels weird.

We don't get too many thunderstorms here in the desert. So when it's comes it's a big deal. Big storm blowing in....

How is gear s2 compare to apple watch?

Battery life could be much better if the Canadian carriers released one of the newer updates that fixes the android system drain. APD3 is terrible in comparison to the build the phone shipped with. The worst part is the original build had none of these issues.

It’s certainly lacking in terms of apps compared to apple watch but for notifications and fitness It’s better to me. The rotating bezel I think is a great touch and far easier to use than the way notifications are done on the apple watch. Great choice for watch faces while on the apple watch it is very limited.

Overall I actually like it better for what I use it for in terms of the complete package yeah apple watch does more I would say. I do like the gear S2 as the screen switches on without looking at it.

How about the activity tracking feature (step, sleep, and workout tracking)?

Its gorilla glass so what exactly are you doing to it?

My right jeans pocket is reserved for my phone, no coins, keys nothing else. I haven't had a screen scratch in years. Ive a slight gel case around the sides and back of my s6 edge and it's in perfect condition.

In a nutshell, what you are saying is that if you are a farmer you've got to use a land-rover defender no matter how much you would like to drive the sports car that's sat on the drive...

I have no scratches on my s7 edge and i have it since release. I am only using the leather cover with no screen protection. I bet the scratches on your screen come from the s view cover.

so, who is carrying this beauty naked???
atm, I have a Spigen Ultra Thin wrapped around it, but to be honest...I really really hate cases/covers.
I have a dbrand skin comming my way, so hopefully it gives a bit more grip then naked.

Mines naked most of the time, but it's in a case while working.

Would like to but have a Luvvit thin case on it now. These phones are way more fragile than before, barely dropped mine and shattered part of the screen. Same for neighbors wife and others I know, so far all my friends with S7s have cracked screens from barely being dropped lol. My S5 took an utter beating for two years with no cracks.

Edit: I resized this and uploaded from my phone and it doesn't look good as it does after viewing again, the original is better
