Kind of annoyed I can't screen mirror my S7 edge to my Samsung TV. Thought it would work
I've done it with mine. The picture on the TV isn't as nice as it is on the phone but it's usable. I just enabled WiFi on my phone. I can't remember how I did it now but it was pretty easy from what I remember.

Why? I'm able to mirror and cast from my S7 edge to my Samsung Smart TV, and to mirror the TV to the S7 edge. I just press the Quick Connect from the notifications drop down.

Supposedly some camera improvements included as well? Most likely bug fixes related to the software though. One can only dream about a slight reduction in sharpening.
Will download later and see Android system is so high so far today

Edit: to be clear, this is not the edge panel glowy light thing, that pulses whenever a call comes in and your phone is faced down. /Edit

I always forget about the missed call edge feature. It's always a surprise whenever I see the thin little yellow edge handle tucked away to the side. It's effective at bringing your attention to the missed call and is really useful because you can call or text back from there or dismiss it. And the animation is smooth and nice. And if you don't act on it, it's just a subtle reminder that you have a missed call that's tucked away on the edge of the screen.

It's these little touches that makes TouchWiz (and to some degree the hardware edge screen) great. Simple, intuitive, effective, and then gets out of the way.

Example pic on the right for those who don't know what it looks like. That's what you slide out from the edge handle and it reveals the options and call info.

T-Mobile is behind on the June patch. Don't like how Android is becoming Windows esque with the needs for updates to keep "Windows Defender" active and up to date.

I got my update from TMo two weeks ago. Maybe you should go to settings>about phone> and look for the update manually. Sometimes its faster.

Did that recently, but it's saying up to date. Make sure you're looking at the June patch. I see only May on mine.

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a decent screen protector for the Galaxy S7 Edge that covers right up to the edges of the front screen?

Ideally glass and one that offers good protection. Not too thick that it flushes with the home button.

Would really appreciate any suggestions as I can't seem to find decent ones :(

Thank you

Sadly I've tried a number if different ones and have not found any decent ones. The hard full tempered ones left areas that had gaps and didn't play well with cases. The tpu ones began lifting and felt spongey. None of them played well with GearVR.

Does anybody know where I can get a pair of replacement gels for the Samsung earbuds? I'm looking for the L2 and R2 pair, but I can only find the L1 and R1 pair, and those can't stay in my ear. UK, and as cheap as possible.

Ah ok, I may have to compromise and go with gaps. Just hope it isn't as bad as I think.

Alternatively, I may just go with a case and leave the screen naked. What are people's experiences with scratches - does the screen easily scratch and does it crack easily?

It can scratch easily especially if your exposed to sand & grit environments. For me on the beach a couple times a day it means i had to be very careful. I ended up compromising (making do) with the horrible Zagg HD shield despite not liking how it feels simply because i'd rather that than a scratch.

If your not in an environment where it may be exposed to sand & grit you may get away with doing without. Many here are going naked.

Amazon should have. I've seen them. If I find the link I'll reply again.

I can't believe they are so late this month. I've been checking every day since the 1st of the month and every day my phone says it's up to date. Still on May 1 update.

Loving my S7 edge and being able to film under water :)

That is really impressive but I would never be able to do that myself.

There's just something inside me that prevents me from putting electronic devices next to or under water. It's almost subconscious at this point and it's going to take many years of water proof devices before I start losing this habit.

Exactly. The phone is not advertised as water proof, but water resistant. I have read plenty of posts on other sites where S7/Edge phones were damaged after people went swimming or doing other things.

This water resistance is only meant for accidents such as dropping in a sink (or fishtank) or other things containg liquids as the commercials show.

It is IP68 rated and that means submerged in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.

The IEC requires that the manufacturer itself supplies the precise depth and length of time the device can be exposed to water in such a rating, and in the Galaxy S7's case Samsung says that it can withstand "Up to 30 minutes or 1.5 meters under (water)".
