That is really impressive but I would never be able to do that myself.

There's just something inside me that prevents me from putting electronic devices next to or under water. It's almost subconscious at this point and it's going to take many years of water proof devices before I start losing this habit.
lol I hear you on that! It does take a little getting used to for sure. I have taken it in the pool a few times now with no adverse effects.

But again, it is not advertised as water proof, just water resistant. Samsung will not repair or replace under warranty, a water damaged S7/Edge. People have been turned down for such claims already.
correct they are not waterproof. But they do advertise water resistance and they are IP68 certified. I have heard some had warranty issues but have also heard some have had no problem getting a replacement as well.
Samsung says it can withstand 30 minutes under water at 1.5 meters.

It is good, I've took it in the shower to watch YouTube or podcasts and it's ideal. Dropped it in the sink once to fool my girlfriend that I dropped it by mistake when I first got it. She went mad thinking it was damaged ha

When needed, I regularly rinse my s7 edge. It's great.

Yeah I don't know why some are so worried of the water resistance. I took my S5 numerous numerous times underwater, filmed my dogs swimming lol, stuck in the water while fishing etc. Took this pic of buddy lol

I thought it wasn't recommended for pool water because of chlorine ? And especially not for Sea Water because of the salt, both of which could act as corrosives regardless of waterproofing ?

Waterproofing is recommended as fresh water only or so they state ...

That's why I never chanced it or would chance it myself.

True they do say that... but I still did it lol. No problem in 2 years till I got the S7. I've used it in Saltwater as well and then just rinsed it down with fresh water bottle when getting back on the boat or beach etc. Some neighbors have all have S5 and S7 now and did the same.

Amazon should have. I've seen them. If I find the link I'll reply again.

I looked, all I found were the L1 and R1 ones. I took MRU's advice and searched eBay for them, and I found a pair, but they need to be shipped from the US. If you can find it that would be great, thanks.

Hm, maybe I have L1 and L2 versions confused. This is what I was talking about: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CS9WLWA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If it's not the right one, apologies.

C'Mon Samsung and T-Mobile! Still waiting for my June security update!

Yeah, they're late this month. I think it's mainly on Tmobile. Because Verizon got June patches.

My display has a defect since yesterday. Everything is pink and green on the screen and it changes to the content I am viewing. This is the first time that I have a problem with a Samsung phone and I had all galaxy s since s3 and all notes. I hope samsung has a good support here in Germany.

That sucks! I think there are Samsung stores in Germany. I would call or take it there and see what they can do. Let us know how it goes.

Does anyone know what functionality I'd lose by buying the international version with Exynos over the Snapdragon T-Mobile version? I found a deal on the Exynos version.

You'd lose Wi-Fi calling, VoLTE and potentially Samsung Pay if the international phone isn't from a supported country (although there are ways to flash the CSC and regain the functionality). Aside from that, there may be a few special LTE bands the international version doesn't have.

If none of these are deal breakers, I'd go for the international variant.

Just noticed there's a plastic cover over the lens on the back camera. Is it safe to take this off? Don't want it to affect my pictures in a bad way.

Yes. It's there for protection when packaging, it's safe to take it off or leave it on. It's donut shaped so they clearly know some folks will leave it on and designed it not to affect photos. The heart rate sensor also has plastic.

Happened to a family member of mine. T-Mobile just replaced it with a brand new device under warranty. It's a manufacturer defect, so hopefully you get another model.

:( Not really happy with the battery on my S7 ... I see it drop from 100 to 95 in a matter of minutes with no usage ( the Note 5 stays at 100 in comparison, both devices set up exactly the same ) Barely get ~3hrs SOT vs 5+ on the Note 5

Did the battery reset, cleared cache, etc... all in vain. All updates current. Even did a hard reset and did not restore from backup!

Also, the device seems laggy after a restart, compared to a very smooth experience on the Note.

Running Nova Prime on both, and same apps, same settings etc.. Not sure what could be causing this excessive battery drain on the S7.
