For some odd reason, my sim slot cover looks a little uneven. Has me worried about potential water damage even though the slot is covered. I compared it to my dad's Note 5 and his is more even. Is there a way to test it out without damaging the phone? I don't want to dunk my phone in water to try it out tbh.

I've had to take off my glass screen protector. I was having trouble typing on the screen and accessing the recent apps button. Much better without it.

i also remove mine tempered glass.. it is partially covered without the curve but i think too small for main screen.. its annoying to drag in the corner..
i changed to this healing shield from korea... tpu screen protector.. i think is better..
u can barely feel its there .. im just worried with direct force hitting my screen .. im sure no prote ction

The healing shield looks much better than the tempered glass.

I'm going screen-protector less on this phone. I ordered Samsung's clear case (Amazon warehousedeal for about $10), and while it's obviously lacks clear protection (something I'm not worried about. I used a Spigen "AirSkin" case for about 8 or so months), and the back feels uneven; it's not bad.

Nope, everything works great.

You can flash official "F" firmware on "FD" models, it's fine. The firmware is the entirely the same, minus the FD just being for dual sim cards. Nonetheless, sim card management shows up in settings in the "F" firmware (after flashing on the dual sim phone), so it's all good. A bunch of other people on XDA have flashed "F" firmware on "FD" models as well.
Perfect. That's my plan sorted then :) i can go ahead and download the firmware in prep now. :)

Am I correct with my guess that the iPhone colours are "real"? (That carpet in particular!)

My contract is ripe for renewal in a week and T-Mobile just raised the price by 100 euro!

S7 picture looks colder while 6S Plus looks warmer. That's all. In this case both look pretty bad.

Its fine, theres a rubber gasket type thing around the top of the sim/sd card holder thats closes everything off when inserted.

How Samsung plans its phones
Ahead of the Galaxy Note 7 launch, here's how the S7 came to be

http://www.theverge.com/2016/8/1/12340294/samsung-product-planning-galaxy-s7-interview

I expected them to discuss more about Touchwiz, but sadly they didn't. Pretty much what you expect their head to say. Matured products, our services are better, and we're ready for Chinese firms. I don't think they really understand ZTE, Xiaomi, and Huawei too well. Years before, say 2012, the only ZTE devices I saw were cheap Metro PCS phones I used to sell at work. Now, the Axon is considered one of the best pieces of work on the market.

The disappointing to me was seeing him say that carriers are their number 1 customer and end consumers are number 2. While he aludes to them starting to push for the end customer to be number one, it doesn't seem like we'll see and end or at least a reduction of Carrier meddling anytime soon.

Yeah, that sucks. Didn't expect a flippant response.

Surely this can't be true

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is World’s Best Selling Smartphone for First half of 2016

http://flip.it/tjFgO
The article said best selling Android smartphone in the world.
Look at the YoY trends. Apple still has the best selling phone is the world....but it's numbers are slipping.

“We estimate the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge model shipped 13.3 million units and accounted for 2 percent share of all Android smartphones shipped worldwide in H1 2016. Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge is currently the world’s most popular Android smartphone. The S7 edge is wildly popular in dozens of countries globally, due to its attractive curved hardware design blended with a sidebar of apps that consumers find easy to use.”

Yup. Sometimes people don't read all the info.

I am not a big Edge fan. I have regular s7.

The s7/s7 edge are great phones. I thin it's a 40/60 split with the 5.5 inch edge outselling the 5.1 inch s7.

But always good to have choices. Now if only they could pack the same 3600 battery that's in s7 edge into the s7! Than we would have the perfect android phone (for me)
