Got good.lock to work finally as I want it and now have a much more stock drop down notification area.

Didn't realise you could change around the colours so you can end up with a dark notification area.

Is the app switcher still a list with good lock? That's my biggest problem with it.

You can disable that now. Indeed I disable most of its extra needless options and so I have normal looking recents.

Used in conjunction with Action Launcher 3 which now actually supports any icon pack / theme you apply on Touchwiz and the icons will work on its launcher too.

So with the material flat theme installed in Touchwiz, then good.lock installed and set up, along with Action Launcher 3 - you would think I was running a near stock looking device :)

Oh and tip. HTC's excellent Boost+ which is great at clearing caches and freeing up ram when needed works perfectly on the S7 and other devices too :)

Ugh, got everything set up and it looks great. But I'm now noticing some frame skips every time I pull down the notifications panel and on the lock screen. That's weird seeing as how I disabled most of the extra features and I don't remember seeing that when I used it a couple of months ago.

Will wait to see if it smooths itself out during the day, but if not I'll have to delete it.

Yeah no stutters here with mine, its as smooth as butter. Are you running the very latest version ? I had to install the .APK from outside of galaxy app store as it's not officially available outside of USA.

I installed it strait from the Galaxy App Store, doesn't say there is an update available. I wonder if it's optimized for the Exynos over the Snapdragon?

Yeah strange. Perhaps it is an exynos / snapdragon thing, or possibly a carrier firmware thing ? As I say haven't noticed a single stutter or drop frame myself.
Could be carrier firmware. I didn't notice any stutter either when I was using it on my t-mobile S7 Edge earlier in the year and that was also a snapdragon.

Cool. Hope it brings some features from the new grace UX too.

Maybe a couple of small features, but I expect that big overhaul for Android N. I can't wait for the S8 to see what it has, but if the price is too much, I am going to stick with my plan to upgrade next summer once my OP3 is about a year old. Even the Note 5 is still pricey for me. I was looking at prices to compare and I would pay $50 more for a brand new one. Touchwiz is nice and all, but not earth shattering enough to take the risks of buying a Samsung. I am hoping Apple could release a relevant iPhone 8 next year too.

When I had the S7 and S7 Edge? I put photos and music on my 64GB SD card. I had about 120 apps at most, including stock apps and disabled bloatware. Take care of the photos in this case because you shouldn't use 4K too often since it commands a high file size. Most of my MBP's storage went to 4k photography since I went crazy taking photos on my last two major vacations lol.

Yeah thats basically what I do but I've got a 128GB SD card in my edge. I've always put all my media on my SD cards (music, photos and videos) and kept my apps on the SD card. When I've had 16GB galaxy phones it was a struggle but when I had the note 3 which had 32GB it was fine. You can set Google play videos to download your movies and TV shows to the SD card and you can do the same with Amazon Prime videos.

Is it even possible to have iPhone swipe gestures (via Google Play Store?) on the Samsung S7?
Cause I really, really don't like the capacitive buttons on the S7.

This is the only thing thats keeping me away from the S7. Used the S7 for one day from a friend, couldnt get used to those capacitive buttons....

How is it?

Still in the ''should I switch from years of iPhone to Samsung S7''-phase... ;)

Saturday I had a look a the Google Play Store-reviews of the app Fernandez21 had mentioned. The reviews were mixed, but overall positive.
I am this close to switch to Samsung S7, but on the other hand I might wait till September's iPhone's Keynote.

Apple will really really has to come with some nice USP's with the iPhone 7, otherwise its obvious for me to make that switch to Samsung S7

Can't seem to find a S7 in Black for T-Mobile for $500 or less from a solid reputable site or seller.

Yeah, I miss my Touchwiz. Plus, the Vo-LTE icon is an eye sore, there is a notification bug w/ Gmail, not impressed with the battery life, and the lack of a proper Do-Not Disturb mode is troubling.
There's meant to be quite a few notification bugs after the last OP3 update. Why they always mess up somehow.

OP3: If it's broke, we will fix it, but we will also break something else. Good luck, everybody.
