I have an unlocked galaxy s7 and I'm on the July patch.

I have an unlocked S7E and am on the July patch and am in Thailand. It seems to me that if this is going to be one of those things people can constantly cite as a problem isn't it easy enough to fix? They have an award winning design. Now all they have to do is push out patches more often and the main criticism would be silenced.

I think Samsung are doing well with their security patches so far. I'm in the UK and I'm also on the July patch. Hopefully the August one will come before the end of the month.

I'm so glad I waited with S7! TODAY T-Mobile.nl dropped the price on the phone by 50 euro, dropped VR Gear which I would sell for 50 euro, but most importantly dropped the price on data (I get 6 GB for 1 euro less than 3 GB yesterday) AND phone calls (from 120 minutes to unlimited in one day). My monthly payment will drop from 31 to 20 euro (previous phone bought for ca$h, this one as well) for much more data and unlimited minutes. I'm really glad I waited. It's coming tomorrow!

Picked up a 3 day old Gold 7S edge for $450 on Saturday to try out to see if anything has changed from Sammy as i was thinking of a Note 7, nice looking/feeling phone although slippery as hell, screen very over saturated colours, BUT while it was fast its just not smooth, nothing has changed still stutters and lag, anyway sold it next day on eBay for $850, thanks Samsung, from what i have read the Note 7 is worse.
Maybe in another 2 years with 8gb ram you will be better, won't hold my breath.

My S7 edge is 4 weeks old and is still flying. No lagging or stuttering. If you don't like the display you can change the display settings and make it look like the iPhone's display. I'm having no issues with my S7 edge and I expect that my note 7 will be just as great when it arrives. The last time I experienced lag on a samsung phone was with the original galaxy note. My S4, S5, note 3 and note 4 ran smoothly.

Good to know. WELL, I have zero lag and the screen is amazing. The colors makes everything so much more enjoyable to look at.

I seem to find always on display hammers my battery life way more than it did on my S7e. Way more than capacity difference between the two devices would suggest.

Love this theme though. Even lock screen has a touch of animation.

That theme hurts my brain.

I personally haven't noticed a differ, but I haven't been paying much attention. I do have color on my clock as well as the color background. Maybe that's makes a difference.

It seems I just downloaded 6.0.1 on my S7E unlocked in Thailand. Am I early to get this or has it been out for awhile?

My S6 doesn't have any lag or stutter, so you may have had a bad device, considering you got it so cheap (second hand maybe?).

My S6 one year later is an absolute pleasure to use. Unbelievably fast. That's one of the main reasons I still haven't upgraded to another phone, so the S7 should be even better.

What theme is this. It looks so cute. It would go well with a blue galaxy note 7:p

It's amazing how they managed to buy it so cheaply and then sell it on for a profit ;)

The theme is called MonsterBeans :)

I like it because it has a little touch of character even though normally I just go stock.

So no August security update, eh, Samsung/Tmobile?

Hmmm.
I received the August security update yesterday on my 935U variant (flashed from the AT&T 935A). Prior to that, the 935U was running on the May security patch. Definitely not as fast in getting updates as I'd hoped.
