Here's how the app says to go back to the official software.

I'm waiting for my s7 to restore itself back to Marshmallow. Decided to pick up my iPhone for a go while the s7 was down. I was thumb tapping one handed to a few people and boy did my thumb get tired. The lack of native swiping feature is painfully felt.

Even on my iPad, every time I type, it begs for swipe capabilities. It makes even less sense for the iPad to not have gesture typing!

On the plus side, I sincerely love the typing sound effect. It's sublime.

Eager to get back to my s7... I decided I'll wait for the stable build of nougat. This preview got me excited for it.

I have a new appreciation for my S7 edge these days. Really liking it with Nougat...so smooth. Can't wait to get the final release.

My S7 suddenly started running out of battery towards the end of the day and I have no clue why. Culprits are Chrome Beta and Spotify.

(Spotify is a champ. Completely redesigned interface which means I can't find anything AND a widget that continues to crash all the time.)

Do you have Facebook? FB is the biggest battery killer on Android phones....

How do you avoid Facebook killing your battery? I made some tweaks on my S7 last night to hopefully improve this abysmal battery life.
the only thing to do is to remove it i'm afraid.....I don't know of any tweaks for FB...Sorry Scott....

One solution was to use FB in your browser....

EDIT:
I did find a link but haven't tried this solution so YMMV...

That's ok. I'm going to see how it does with last night's tweaks for a couple of days before I do anything else. Wishing I would have got the edge at this point, I'm definitely not used to charging my name phone this much.

I always disable face book and messenger and use Facebook within the browser.
But my Facebook use is pretty minimal.
I know people who live on facebook lol.

Mum smashed her S5 by accident so she's getting an S7 non edge as a replacement.
What's the battery life compared to the edge?
Does anyone have experience with both?

I might go back to MM myself this weekend. The battery life isn't as good on my S7 Ede running the beta then my S7 Edge running MM. The Edge running the beta isn't bad but it is less then when it was running MM for sure.

You can keep the FB app and enjoy great battery life, I do.
Just go to Settings -Smart Manager -Battery -App Power Saving (click on Detail) -then select FB and set it to Always Power Save

Unfortunately I don't have that option on the Verizon S7, or if so I couldn't find it.

Here's the options I have in the battery settings and app manager. It appears I can optimize apps, but it turns it on for all apps and you have to scroll through the list and turn off the ones you don't want optimized.

What a damn good phone it is.

Dropped mine(after many prior drops) and cracked the screen, back as well. Repair price here's 260$ :(

It's crazy how I've mainly used iOS since 2010 until the s7, went back to iOS for a bit and I just can't let go of the superior screen quality on the s7, the true blacks of OLED, the widgets (google calendars widget is so, so good), the additional features like ultra power saving mode and the way some apps like UpToDate just work better with their widget functionality...sd card slot, fast/wireless charging, notification LED, always on display (so awesome)...headphone jack...I pick up my iPhone 7 and I crave all these things haha.

Incredible. Never would have thought I'd love a Galaxy phone this much when i originally got it

Isn't the S7 Edge a laggy hiccuping phone ? Blows me away how much smoother and lag free the Pixel is in comparison.

I tried the S7 Edge at both T-Mobile and Best Buy, and it felt laggy and choppy. Where my old Nexus 6P felt buttery smooth in comparison.

Yes, it is the worse phone I have ever owned for lag. It is a common issue on the s7 edge.
