Many people will buy these phones on a payment plan, and will only look at the galaxys and iPhones; so in that regard the prices won't hamper them as much. I wish it would, and the prices would be forced down...but I don't see that happening soon.

The 6p a great phone, and the price is a huge plus. Bit outside of Google fi, the Nexus is not available on a payment plan. That makes it too expensive for some. There nexus still remain a niche device until it's broadly available in brick and motor stores.

As of today I still consider the Nexus 6P to be the best Android phone released to market. But I also own a Nexus 6 and the software experience is the same.
Now I also own a iPhone 6S which is the quickest device I've used in a very portable package but it's not flashy. With the Samsung S7 Edge I like it a lot because it's different and adds useful features to Android. I have only two gripes; they took away the Ir blaster and slow software updates. But because I upgrade twice a year almost the software doesn't bother like it us too.

Why is that?

The 6P has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Middle of the road performance, battery life, camera, and durability.

The only thing going for it is a pure Android experience and the fact that it is cheap.

I disagree.

It has arguably the best battery life of an Android phone currently, a amazing camera with incredible low light capabilities. It's also the faster Android phone out currently.

I don't know about the durability. I never dropped mine during my brief experiment with Google fi. The phone was great though.

Epic, do you know what time T-Mobile has their GS7/GS7E go on sale at? Jamezr and I have no definitive time. T-Mobile doesn't either lol.

This is in the fine print for the promotion: "Starting 2/23/16 at 10:00 AM ET Customers who have pre-ordered a Qualifying Device may visit https://promos.samsungpromotions.com/GearVR (“Website”) and enter their valid e-mail address to receive a reminder e-mail on 3/4/16 once the Offer Redemption Period has begun."

So I'm assuming 10:00 AM ET.

That's what I read from before. I think that's when to get our promos.

Middle of the road performance ?. It is consistently speedy, handles multitasking like a champ, has great front firing speakers, camera is very good, finger print scanner is excellent, and multitasking / ram performance puts the Note 5 to shame. Battery life for most part is excellent for most users with similar results to the aforementioned with a lot of users getting 5-6 hrs SOT. As for durability, it's no less durable than any other flagship ...

You are entitled not to like the device, but calling performance middle of the road and no redeeming features is just falacy.

Got my preorder in just now. Ordered it through JoD Galaxy S7 Edge black. I almost got the silver...but it just looks to shiny and reflective. It would bother me too much :)
I worry about that as well, but I was always complain about Samsung not offering us the same colors (emerald green anyone?) they offer internationally, so I decided to take them up on that one new color since they finally granted my request. It's either going to be really nice, or really nice and really shiny. Either way, I believe ill enjoy it, and if it does bug me, it only has to last till the next note. I have real high hopee, following the S7, for that phone Interestingly, since I got myself up at 3 a.m. to place the pre order, I got an email today along with my order confirmation stating I was the first Customer on tmobile in the United States to place a pre order. They congratulated me, though I'm not sure that's something to be proud of. Oh well, it's not like I'm going to go brag about that in real life, but I will to you guys. Joys of an online tech forum

As a side note, when I call at 3 am EST time, the system was working. They promised me the phone and said they would call back tomorrow, and reserve my spot. Well the system started working and they called back about ten minutes later to complete the order. The rep also, without any complaining on my end (why would i, I was the overly eager idiot who got up at 3am), comp me the price of the phone payment for two months. As tmobile continues to grow and enroche on the other big carriers in the United States, I hope they keep their customer service intact. It's the best in the industry in my experience.

Wow. S7 photos are significantly better than the G5. Impressive.
I'm not really surprised. I think I read the main camera on the g5 is the same shooter as last year. They just added the extra wide angle camera, so it looks like they concentrated their efforts there. It's not like the g5 isn't still a great camera, but I expect the g7 to set the bar for 2016.

I could be wrong. Apple might challenge it in photo quality, and even the Nexus last year knocked it out of the park with low light. But based on what we are seeing, and apples the fact Apple didn't surpass Android cameras this year....it a real possibility this will be the best for 2016.

Most flagship smartphone will do great in this regard anyway, and most people won't know the difference.

Just placed my preorder for the s7 edge silver with tmobile, over the phone, jump on demand.

Crap, I would've stayed up till 3am myself. Is your scheduled to ship on 3/10? Mine is the same exact model and I had to play around to get it at full retail price. Their site kept on trying to get me to Jump when I don't own the old GS5 anymore.

Just preordered online with T-mobile Jump. Got the gold one. Same color as my S6 edge. I like the black too, but didn't want to take any chances with it sight unseen.

Gold just didn't look good enough as the S6 Edge. It's too gold brownish. I wanted a lighter finish. I'll see both in person but went silver.

I don't think mine has a shipping date yet. I was guaranteed it would arrive on the 11th, or they would comp my bill. They have always been accurate for me in the past.

Congrats to all the pre orders!

How goes jump on tmo work exactly? You pay a monthly fee and then when the time comes you can trade in your current phone for a reduced upgrade?

Does this mean the phone has to be paid off already if you're on an EIP plan? Also, when can you get jump? I can't imagine I can start jump now and get a new s7?

Did anyone do the express shipping with Tmobile? My order date is the 26, three days from now. I wonder if I'm really going to get it that soon or is that just what they initially put by default.
